BUFFALO BILLS VS. NY JETS

buffalo bills vs. ny jets
The Buffalo Bills managed to snatch Victory from the jaws of Defeat last week as they scored a last second (literally!) touchdown on the Minnesota Vikings. Despite the Bills’ 4-3 record, the 1-6 NY Jets are favored by 3 points in this game. Both of the Bills’ starting running backs–C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson–are injured and won’t play in this game. That’s a problem. The Jets haven’t played in 10 days so they’re well rested and prepared. And, the Jets also traded with the Seattle Seahawks to obtain talented wide receiver, Percy Harvin. Vegas thinks the Jets will win and most “experts” agree. How will your favorite NFL team do today?

Your Bills will win. The Jets are a train wreck.

My other teams will probably lose as well. Dallas is hot and the ‘Skins not. The panthers will likely help Seattle get back on thw winning track. Carolina has no running game(because of injuries) beyond Cam Newton and their defense is not what it was last year.

Randy, injuries are affecting a lot of teams. The Bills lost both starting running backs within minutes in last week’s game against the Vikes. The Jets are a train wreck, but the Bills are very mediocre.

The Giants 100% will not lose today. Next week, however… I’m afraid this is another lost season in New York football, but then look at the Saints and the Seahawks, teams with much higher expectations who have underachieved big time. It looks like the Broncos and Cowboys at the moment, two of my least favorite teams.

Jeff, I think the Indianapolis Colts are the best team in the NFL. Andrew Luck is blossoming and the Colts’ defense is surprisingly stout.

Bill, I think the Cowboys and the Texans will win today. While the Seahawks and the 49ers seemed to have slipped, the Broncos look formidable.

Is it too soon to use the adjective “pathetic” when referring to the Saints? Last week’s heartbreaking last-minute loss was almost a final straw for me. New Orleans is back home in the Superdome for tonight’s Sunday Night Game against a very strong 5-2 Green Bay. I’m hoping some home-cooking will help the boys in black-and-gold overcome their porous defense and Drew Brees’s recently-erratic arm, but I’m not putting any money down on it. Anyway, there’s a World Series game on tonight too–I may have to take refuge in that!

Deb, the World Series score was 4-4 when I went to bed last night. I woke up to an 11-4 Giants win (I’m rooting for the Royals). Green Bay’s defense is suspect. But Aaron Rodgers is the Real Deal. The Miami Dolphins had Green Bay on the ropes a couple weeks ago, but Aarron Rodgers engineered a last minute TD to hand the Dolphins a defeat. The Saints are going to have to play their “A” game tonight to win.

I’m late coming to your post, busy with birthday duties. Seattle should win, but lately that hasn’t always resulted in a W, so we’ll see. Elsewhere, I’ll be rooting for the Lions, Bears and Eagles. Plus the Giants, of course. Looks like the Series could go to seven games.

Rick, Seattle won but it was a close game. The Lions won, but the Bears lost. You’re right: the World Series could go seven games.

If that’s the best the Seahawks can do against a mediocre opponent, I shudder to think of what they’ll do against a good one.

I like the Jets but I’m glad the Bills won.

Bob, the Seahawks are struggling but they’re still a good team. The Bills caught the Jets on a bad day. You can’t win when you commit six turnovers.

I’m not seeing the Colts the way you are – 522 passing yard and six touchdown passes against does not look like a championship team.

I was thrilled Arizona pulled out the win over the Eagles.

Rick – not. I just hate the Eagles and Cowboys as the Giants’ main rivals. I don’t care for the Cardinals in general.
