BUFFALO BILLS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers

Last week, the Bills were cruising 21-7 over the New England Patriots in the Third Quarter. Then the Bills turned into the Titanic and the Patriots turned into the iceberg. The Bills lost 52-28 in a debacle of epic proportions. Today, the lowly Bills face a better team than the Patriots in an away game. The Bills are 9-point underdogs (which I find too low…I figured the spread would be 12 points at least). I have low expectations for this game. How is your favorite NFL team going to do today?

Yikes – your guys have a tough row to hoe today George. The Giants should (but considering how they did last week, who knows?) have a relatively easy game today against the Browns, but they are following the Bills to San Francisco next weekend, so any damage your guys can do would be greatly appreciated!

The Bills are looking just to survive this game with the 49ers, Jeff. They already have two injured players on the offensive line who won’t be in the game today. Everyone we talked to in Cleveland claimed the Browns were going to beat the Giants. I suspect it’s just fan-talk.

Yikes indeed for your Bills, George. And yikes for the Broncos today. Danged Pats.

As I write this, Cleveland is ahead 17-7 over the Giants. I’d be surprised if they hand on to that lead, though.

Hope all went well, or is going well on your trip, George.

Cleveland is winless, Drongo. That doesn’t last long in the NFL. This week might be their week. But the Giants are known for their Second Half come-backs. Hope Payton is on his A-game today. I would love for the Broncos to defeat the Patriots after last week’s beat-down of the Bills. BOUCHERCON was great! Hope to meet you at one someday!

The Giants got off to a horrible start with a fumble (welcome back, Ahmad Bradshaw!) ont he first play from scrimmage, but after falling behind 14-0 and 17-7 have outscored the Browns by 34-6.

Fortunately we were out and I missed those early scores.

I expect the Seahawks to have a close game, and the Niners to win. I may watch the Seattle game, or not, or some of the baseball playoffs, or not. I was disappointed that the SF Giants lost yesterday.

Bills fans are furious after the 45-3 spanking in San Francisco, Jeff. They want all the coaches fired. All the players traded. It’s ugly.

I didn’t want to comment about the hapless Saints yesterday, but–like the GOP after a single debate performance–today I feel energized as the boys in black and gold finally put one in the Win column. Drew Brees breaking Johnny Unitas’s record for most consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass was icing on the cake!

The Saints were overdue for a win, Deb. And, I was happy to see Brees break Unita’s record. I expect the Saints to go on a winning streak now.
