    Congratulations!
So this was a kind of Christmas present for both of you?
That’s a kind of a record – and from your looks in these nice pictures you seem to be as happy as 40 years ago.
May I ask how many years you knew each other, were together before deciding on a marriage?

And now a “bad” joke that a friend of mine used to tell often.
When someone proudly told him “We’ve been together now for x years …” he’d ask:
And how many more years do you have to stay together? 🙂 🙂
Wish you all the best for the New Year, especially health, that’s the most important thing right now in these crazy times.

Wolf, Diane and I went to High School together. We worked on the Yearbook together. I had a crush on Diane, but was too shy to act on it. When our 10th High School Reunion came around, one of my sisters suggested I invite Diane to go with me. I did and the sparks flew! A year later we were getting married!

A charming couple—but you guys look far too young to have been married 42 years! Congratulations—and here’s to many more years ahead!

42 is pretty good, but in a preemptive strike, I’m going to wish you congrats on 52! By that time the pandemic should be over and you crazy kids can go paint the town in style!

Jeff, Diane ordered the BBQ ribs and I ordered the pork chop. Diane’s dessert will be Chocolate Cake and mine will be Coconut Cream Pie! Healthy salads, of course!

I told Jackie your anniversary was coming up. We need a Then and Now side by side picture gallery. We had to forego all celebrations, trips, etc. for our 50th this year, but as long as we’re all here, that’s what matters.

    Happy Anniversary!

Jeff, I’ll work on a “Before” photo later today. Right now, Diane and I are celebrating our Anniversary by going to BJ’s Warehouse during Senior Citizen Hour. We’re trying to stock up so we don’t have to leave our house much in January when the pandemic is likely to be at its worst.

Patti, Diane spends days “Christmas-tizing” our home. Christmas music is still playing (until New Year’s Day according to Diane’s Rules). Too bad none of our family or friends can visit.
