CHICAGO BEARS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

Quarterback Nate Peterman (aka, “The Turnover Machine”) will be at the controls of the hapless Buffalo Bills offense today because the other two Bills QBs are hurt. The Bills opponent, the mighty Chicago Bears, is favored by 10 points. How will your favorite NFL fare today?

Great! This will be the 1-7 Giants’ second most successful week of the season. Yes, you guessed it, it’s their bye week. And with backup quarterback Kyle Lauletta arrested this week, I don’t think we’ll be seeing him replacing Eli any time soon. It’s a sad day for Giants fans.

The 6-1 Saints take on the 8-0 Rams in the Superdome today. If the Saints’ defense shows up, it should be a really good game. After last night’s shellacking of LSU by Alabama, we need some good sports news here in southern Louisiana.

Deb, I think Alabama could play in the NFL. The Packers gave the Rams a scare last week. The Saints might surprise the undefeated team.

True. Alabama was incredible. The LSU defense played well up to a point, but the relentlessness of Alabama is unstoppable.

        Go, Saints!

Saints hand the Rams their first loss of the season. And the Saints absolutely needed the win because both the Falcons and Panthers won today. This victory will help erase some of the bitterness from yesterday’s LSU defeat.

Deb, the Rams came on strong, but the Saints pulled ahead for good in the last 6 minutes! Is it too early to talk about Super Bowl chances?
