Diane and Katie visited Patrick in Albuquerque this weekend. I’m busy administering the first round of semester exams to my students in Western NY so the timing of this trip didn’t work for me (but I did get to go to the BOUCHERCON in Albany last month). Patrick took Diane and Katie to Santa Fe for a day. Yesterday they went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Later today, I’ll be driving to the Buffalo Airport to pick Diane and Katie up. They’re returning to celebrate Diane’s mother’s 94th Birthday tomorrow.

Jackie is jealous and she has always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon, which is really surprising as she her terrible with heights.
Did Patrick take them on a BREAKING BAD tour? I read somewhere that Albuquerque doesn’t want to let go of the show.
Jeff, Patrick took Diane and Katie to the restaurant where many scenes from BREAKING BAD were shot. Katie is a big BREAKING BAD fan.
I always think of Albuquerque as the birthplace of the personal computer… the Altair 8800. I hope they visited the STARTUP Museum dedicated to the start of the PC.
Rick, I’m sure Patrick will visit the STARTUP Museum. Diane and Katie already arrived home safe and sound. I just picked them up at the Airport.

I saw a flock of balloons lifting off in Northern California once, and it was an impressive sight. I’ll the the one they saw was better.
