    My favorites
    Curb Your Enthusiasm
    Queen’s Gambit
    Bosch
    Better Call Saul
    Raised By Wolves
    Perry Mason
    Dare Me
    Fargo
    Babylon Berlin
    The Good Lord Bird
    Mystery Road

I have little interest in Marvel, Dc or Star Wars shows.

By nthe way, avoid Wonder Women 84. One of the worst vsuperhero movies I’ve seen.

Steve, I really like your list. I’m mid-way through RAISED BY WOLVES and PERRY MASON. We want to QUEEN’S GAMBIT, BETTER CALL SAUL, and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

As it has been in every season since it started, BETTER CALL SAUL was my favorite. Runners up would be MRS. AMERICA, a wonderfully entertaining series about the battle over the ERA, and the best season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM in a while. I also enjoyed the HBO reboot of PERRY MASON, which was much better than I expected. Add one guilty pleasure–the ridiculously over the top but wildly entertaining YELLOWSTONE. My biggest disappointment was the awful new season of FARGO. From what I’ve heard about it I’m sure I’ll love QUEEN’S GAMBIT, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.

Michael, I’m mid-way through PERRY MASON and hope to finish it this weekend. Many of my friends love BETTER CALL SAUL. I have to be in the right mood for CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

Patti, you’re right. The streaming services like Netflix, HULU, and AMAZON PRIME Video have changed the whole landscape of television. However, I fear these changes in viewer behavior may doom traditional movie theaters. All of our movie theaters are closed.

Well, George, that’s the disease…people like huge screens, and media companies like that kind of extra profit in advance. They’ll be back. And improvised and surviving drive-ins are getting a shot in the arm.

Broadcast and cable reached a peak around 2000, then the influx of chestpouding dumbth after the plane divebombs led to a big turn toward MILLIONAIRE and even worse game shows and such. But for a few years there, even some of the bubblegum would’ve shone like diamonds ca., say, 1980…when most of the best stuff was kind of fringy, such as SCTV NETWORK 90 on NBC and CTV late-night.

What We Do in the Shadows is the only one I watch. I quite Lovecraft Country around episode four. You’ll be interested to know that Jackie has just discovered Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She has over 100 episodes to go!’

    Favorites watched this year:

    The Queen’s Gambit
    Bosch
    Srugim
    Derry Girls
    Shetland
    The Crown
    Vera
    The Umbrella Academy
    Line of Duty
    The Boys

Jackie reminded me of two more shows we watched this year (on DVD in Florida, in the first case):

    Borgen
    The Good Fight

I’m with Rick! I don’t watch any new shows other than a game show called America Says! Adam 12, the original Perry Mason, NW sports (football in 60 minutes) and MeTV reruns of Westerns are my meat!

    New stuff:
    SPACE FORCE
    UPLOAD
    THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT
A MORE OR LESS PERFECT UNION

Still in production and of continuing interest:
WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS
THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT
    LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS
    THE DAILY SHOW
–as with Patti, I tend to ignore the celebrity interviews in favor of LATE NIGHT “Closer Look”s and the like.
    to some extent CONAN
    FULL FRONTAL
    LAST WEEK TONIGHT
    FRONTLINE
    INDEPENDENT LENS
    POV
    NOVA
    ART IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Old stuff I started watching again/catching missed episodes:
    COMMUNITY
    PERSON OF INTEREST
I’ve been surprised how not-bad some GREEN HORNET episodes can be, in their hokey way…never got to see it as a kid, beyond the one BATMAN crossover episode; likewise, never looked at the Solidly Not Too Shabby GREATEST AMERICAN HERO when it ran or re-ran, in the first season at least with scripts by Junaita Bartlett, key veteran of THE ROCKFORD FILES
I now resent H&I for completely dropping the overnight runs of NYPD BLUE, but at least they wised up and brought NUMB3RS back.
