Last week I reviewed Flower Power: United We Stand (you can read my review here). I found another volume in the Flower Power compilation series by TIME-LIFE, Flower Power: Age of Aquarius from 2007. Several commentors complained Flower Power: United We Stand didn’t have some of the classic “Flower Power” songs. This set includes Scott McKenzie “San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair) as well as The 5th Dimension’s “Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In.”
Strawberry Alarm Clock is included with their best known hit, “Incense And Peppermints”. I’m not sure The Byrds’ “Mr. Tambourine Man” qualifies as a “Flower Power” song, but here it is. And who doesn’t like Jefferson Airplane’s “Someone To Love”?
