Yep, pizza is great. But I don’t much like the Big Three (Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, and Dominos). My favorite locally is Fellini’s, which has seven locations in the Atlanta area. They don’t deliver, so you have to pick it up. I got one about ten days ago that was delicious and lasted three days. I called Saturday for another one and was told they’re closed until further notice.
Michael, our favorite restaurant was preparing Take-Out orders, but now their web site says they decided to close for two weeks to protect their workers from the coronavirus.
We like a take-and-bake place, Papa Murphy’s. No delivery, though, and with not going out except once weekly, during senior grocery hours, it’s not working. The stay calm part is easier if the news is avoided,
Will “senior grocery hours” stay a part of reality? Not a bad idea for us old geezers …
We are also big fans of pizza – in every place we’ve lived or visited often we found some place (of course not any chains) where we go regularly.
My wife’s favourite is Hawaii, I’ll go for anything that has sausage and/or bacon/ham.
A bit OT:
We used to have two pizzas and a salad, when my wife couldn’t finish hers I’d help – but now, a bit older we can’t finish those two, so a doggy carton is necessary …
And while we have many Italian pizzerias in Germany, here they have Hungarian workers only and I always marvel how well those Hungarians do Italian cooking.
PS:
What george forgot – ok he’s not a fan:
Be calm and have a beer!
Cheers!
It’s almost 6 pm here, we did work in the garden all afternoon, so a beer is well earned.
All my preferred local restaurants are still open but with reduced hours.
That’s fine. I can accommodate my meal schedule to theirs.
K.’s been cooking but I do miss an occasional meal.
I’ve been craving subs after seeing a Subway commercial. But I don’t want a Subway sub; I want a Cousins sub. I’ll be stopping there to pick up dinner tonight.
Locally, all the Chinese restaurants we frequented closed temporarily (we hope). Have to wonder if Trump’s blather didn’t have something to do with that. (Oher sorts of restaurants were not so uniformly shuttered.)
KEEP CALM AND RUN AMOK
Dan, I would KEEP CALM AND RUN AMOK to an ice cream stand…if they were open!
George, we’ve had pizza delivered TWICE in the last week. You literally CANNOT go wrong with pizza! We still have half a pie in the freezer.
Jeff, fortunately our favorite pizzeria is still open. We’ll probably order a pizza from them later in the week.

I’d rather not support the chains, but local businesses, but some that have tried the take out route aren’t doing it any longer.
Maggie, Take-Out is risky business. The workers risk getting infected by the coronavirus. There are also supply issues that have to be dealt with.
This is Brooklyn. There is NO excuse for ordering Pizza Hut or the other chains with so many real choices in every neighborhood.
I’d have thought Philadelphia would have more good pizza than it does.

Beth, like you we’re trying to support local restaurants by ordering Take-Out meals. I’m getting a yearning for a submarine sandwich, too!

Keep calm but don’t kiss unless you cohabitate. Or otherwise regularly share biome. Alas.
