Happy Anniversary you crazy kids. Seems like only yesterday. We had our 44th in October.

I’m guessing since it is Diane’s favorite restaurant and not yours that pizza is not on the menu.

Jeff, I’ll probably go with prime rib or one of the Specials. Diane will probably go with a chicken dish. But the desserts at The Hideaway Grill are very yummy!

Congratulations, to both of you! The chart says “bone china” for this anniversary, by the way.

Ours is the day before Valentine’s Day, so we can never get a reservation at a restaurant. We either eat at home or dine out a few days later. Have fun!

Rick, book now! Diane and I don’t do the gift thing anymore (we have everything) but we do exchange Anniversary cards. I gave Diane a musical card this year!

We’re in the same boat as Richard and his wife–my husband and I got married on February 11 and that weekend is always one of the busiest, restaurant-wise. We usually wait for the following weekend to celebrate, but this past February was our 25th, so we made sure we had reservations weeks in advance.

Deb, Diane’s favorite restaurant “reserves” a table for us since we’ve been celebrating there for so many years. Whenever we take some guests to THE HIDEAWAY GRILL, they’re surprised when all the staff knows us by name. We try support Local Businesses, especially restaurants, whenever we can.

That’s nice, George. A lot of our local restaurants know us too – not surprising as we eat out almsot every day! – but not necessarily by name. We’ve also gone the cards/no presents route some years back. If there is anything we want we just get it during the year rather than waiting for a special occasion. Our anniversary is halfway between our birthdays and we’ve been celebrating it in Vegas (not my choice, believe me) for the last ten years. It will probably be several years before we go back again, however, with upcoming October Bouchercons in Raleigh, New Orleans and Toronto.

George – Congratulations to you and Diane! And, if it’s 36 for you, then it’s 35 for Sandi and I today. And you are right, the time has sped on by. Have a nice dinner. We went to the Hobbit today and are playing on our trivia team tonight.
