Deb, our crazy kids had travel problems yesterday. Katie’s flight to Boston got cancelled. She booked an AVIS rental car so she could drive home (all the flights were full). Diane and I drove Katie to the Airport to pick up the car. Katie went to the AVIS counter and was told, “We don’t have any cars available.” Terrible! How can AVIS take Katie’s money when they have no cars??? Diane solved the problem by offering Katie her car. So Katie drove Diane’s Altima to Boston (six hours). Patrick’s plane from Buffalo to Boston was delayed. Then, the plane was over-gassed so United offered incentives for people to change their travel plans to lighten the load. Patrick decided instead of flying to Chicago then to Houston for the annual New Year’s Eve Party his friend hosts each year, he’d fly to NYC, sleep in his own bed, and fly direct from NYC to Houston today. Plus, United gave Patrick $1000 flying credit!
Wolf, Diane and I practice healthy habits. We don’t smoke, no drugs, and we both exercise–I go to the Pool and Diane loves walking around our neighborhood.
Megan booked two flights back and made the first one at 6 am. Why isn’t Christmas in July. Hope it was good anniversary without too many weather worries.
Patti, we’re dealing with 70 mph winds right now. We had to cancel our Anniversary Dinner because of the inclement weather. Tomorrow isn’t going to be much better with snow in the forecast and frigid temps!
Further congratulations! You also remind me that Alice and I have lived together for almost 29 years at this point. Some things last. (We met while both working in a Virginia Borders Book Shop…some things don’t!)
Congratulations!! Sorry about the weather issues. It seems to be almost impossible to travel these days especially where weather is a regular issue. I’m a bit spoiled in CA,, at least for now. Weather is going to be more and more of an issue

WoW! This photo warms my heart. Here’s to many more Happy Anniversaries.
Neeru, thanks for your kind words. Those 47 years went by in the blink of an eye!
Your picture conveys genuine Love. Congrats!
Dan, sometimes I feel like I’ve lived a charmed Life!
Two wild and crazy kids, still young at heart. You are an inspiration. May you have many more wonderful years together.
Jerry, two wild and crazy kids who have had 47 years of fun!
I told Jackie yesterday that today was your Anniversary. Happy Anniversary, you crazy kids. 50 is getting closer.
Jeff, we’re going to have to cancel our Anniversary Dinner tonight because we’re experiencing 70 mph winds! Yikes!
Weather is a spoilsport!
Todd, this Wind Event will last all day long! Snow is in the forecast for the next four days!
Yep—I think you crazy kids just might make this work! Congratulations!

47? Mere kids. My wife and I observed our 53rd in September. Wellll . . . not that much more really. Congratulations and many more for all of us.
What a nice couple!
Congratulations to you, George and your lovely wife!
I hope you both stay well enough to have many more years together.

I thought of that while watching the Aussie show RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service). Their Christmas is in the summer.
Happy anniversary to you and your lovely wife, George, with wishes for many more to come.
Byron, thanks for your wonderful wishes!

Like your anniversary shirts!
Todd, Katie gave us these shirts and I still use the STAY SAFE message in my emails.
Congratulations, George. Forty seven years is something to be proud of. That is a lovely photo of you two.
I am sure I have told you this before but Glen and I are one year behind you. We will celebrate 46 years in January 2026.
Tracy, thanks for the congratulations. And congratulations to you and Glen for 46 years of wedded bliss next month!!
