Indeed. We’ve been thinking and talking about Bill quite a bit lately. Every time something crazy but funny happens, I picture Bill’s reaction – “First it was the Thin Mints Melee” or “Texas leads the way” or even “Will the persecution ever end?” regarding Paris Hilton. We’ll be seeing his daughter Angela at Bouchercon in St. Petersburg in September, now that we decided to go after all. He is really missed.

Jeff, Diane and I talked about Bill Crider’s love of ABBA music when we attended MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN. We miss him.

There are so many offbeat and strange news stories that have me thinking daily, “Oh Bill would have loved this!” Our little email group keeps the tradition alive sharing WBAGNFARB and STAY OFF HER LAWN type stories, but how we all miss seeing those links on Bill’s blog every day. Wherever he is, I’m sure Bill’s in a happy, pain-free place with Judy at his side.

Deb, I miss Bill Crider and his daily blog posts. Bill’s blog was the first stop each morning when I fired up my computer. And something on Bill’s blog would make me laugh every day.

Days like this I want a Dr. Pepper made with real sugar! It’s sad that Bill was one-of-a-kind; if there were more like him the world would be a much better place.

Jerry, a Dr. Pepper made with real sugar would go great at this time of the day. Bill Crider’s humor and wit tickled all of our funny bones.

Rick, I’m glad I was able to spend some time with Bill Crider at the last convention he attended: the WORLD FANTASY CONVENTION in San Antonio last November. Bill was great on the panels he participated in. Very knowledgeable and funny!

When Facebook alerted me to his upcoming birthday I wondered if it was appropriate to wish him a happy when he’s not here to get it. But I did think about him, as I often do, and sent up a silent greeting.

As it happens, I’m drinking a Dr Pepper right now, albeit a diet. And in his sacred memory I must remind everyone that there is no period in Dr Pepper. 10-2-4

George – it was a tough weekend without Bill on his birthday. ArmadilloCon is next weekend. That will be tougher.

George – I am supposed to be on a memorial panel covering Bill and Gardner Dozois this coming Saturday evening. Fond memories should dominate.

Scott, Gardner Dozois and Bill Crider deserve to be honored. I wish I was there to join you and the others celebrating these two great writers.
