Happy Easter to all who celebrate. We’re having our customary dinner of grilled lamb (marinated in a yogurt-lemon-onion mixture for 24 hours and studded with garlic before being placed on the big green egg), mashed potatoes & gravy, creamed spinach, roasted veggies, and Yorkshire pudding. Julia’s boyfriend’s family are bringing dessert—which I assume will be something chocolatey and delicious. I’m back at work on Tuesday—but at least I’ll have tomorrow to sleep it off, lol.

Deb, for the first time in 40 years, Diane and I are NOT spending Easter in Ohio at Diane’s sister’s house. All of Carol’s sons are out of town for this Easter so Diane invited Carol to celebrate Easter with us. We’re taking Carol to a swanky restaurant for dinner tonight. Your Easter feast sounds fabulous!

Happy Easter to the Kelley clan and to all who celebrate it and who follow George’s blog. (And, since I’m sure the entire world follows George’s blog, that’s a lot of people!)

Jeff, Carol’s son Dave dropped her off at our house on Thursday. Dave and his wife have to work tomorrow so they’re leaving for Ohio today. We’ll leave for Ohio on Tuesday and return on Thursday. Diane is planning another trip to Ohio at the end of May to attend her niece’s High School Graduation. I’ve been to a dozen High School Graduations but I’ll go this one last time…

I just accidentally deleted a whole long post. Rats. If Deb’s lamb was an option, I’d be there, but since it isn’t, we’re having bagels and lox (Kirkland salmon), cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and cucumbers, which Jackie considers a necessary component (but which I skip, as they come up on me).

    Enjoy the day.

Have you tried the English seedless cucumbers? They’re a little pricier, but they don’t have the same digestive effects as regular cucumbers.

No. Don’t know them. But, to be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of cucumbers. 🥒

OK, maybe it was the seeds. Jackie actually cut the center out of the cucumbers for me (not my idea), and I haven’t had any trouble since.
