Jeff, it’s yo-yo weather here. Yesterday it was 80 degrees. Today it’s 46, tomorrow 38. But no rain is predicted for tomorrow’s trip back to Western NY so we’re happy about that. Snow is forecast for Tuesday!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. Our Easter weekend got off to a wobbly start with our garage door breaking yesterday morning. The tension spring broke making it impossible to open the door, so we are literally unable to get our cars out of the garage right now 🤨. Could not get an emergency garage door repair person out this weekend (surprise!), so am pinning my hopes on tomorrow. Meanwhile, Lilly is driving us to Julia’s place (she’s hosting Easter this year—our house still being in upheaval due to new floors and painting all the rooms).

Deb, in the theatre a bad dress rehearsal means a stellar first night. May your holiday be joyous for you, John, and all your loved ones.

Jerry, Diane is already beginning to pack us up for tomorrow’s drive back to Western NY. It was a quick visit, but we have tickets to a Diana Krall Concert on Tuesday and I have to spend a night being monitored for sleep apnea (a Medicare requirement) at a sleep clinic on Wednesday. It’s always something…

Todd, I’ve been using a CPAP machine since 1995. If I hadn’t used a CPAP, I’d be dead. But Medicare forces me to take a sleep test in a clinic every few years to “prove” I still have sleep apnea. What a waste of money!

Deb, sorry to hear about your garage door. Diane’s sister Carol’s central air conditioner died yesterday when it was 80 degrees. Of course, no repairman are availabe during Easter Weekend. But, we leave for home tomorrow. Today, Easter dinner will feature the traditional ham, sweet potatoes, green salad, jello salad, mixed vegatables, and Sauerkraut. Desserts include lemon cake, brownies, apple pie, and chocolate cream pie.

That reminds me. Ww watch an episode of The Great British Baking Show every Saturday night. Last night’s episode (filmed during the pandemic year) has them deep-frying donuts and then making ice cream cakes when the temperature hit an incredible 95 degrees! You could see the sweat pouring off them.

Jeff, hope you and Jackie have a safe trip. We’ll be on the road to Western NY tomorrow. It will be in the 40s but no rain.

Despite the chaos happening at the Kelley manse, I sincerely hope that you, your red-haired Easter bunny, and all who surround you have a joyful and meaningful Easter. (Although, if I were there, I’d be overwhelmed by the dessert table!)
