Jeff, you’re right! Diane is beginning her 15th year of Retirement. I’ll start my 3rd Year in January 2020. Life is Sweet! And food plans today? Diane’s thinking about a hamburgers and hot dogs, salads, and watermelon for dessert.
Sounds good. After the big Italian meal yesterday, we are probably going to have big bowls of Japanese noodle soup, plus dumplings. It’s a cool day with rain predicted this afternoon.
Happy Labor Day to you too, George. Labor Day has never seemed like much of a holiday to me. This year it falls on Barbara’s Quilt Group day and she’s hosting, so the casserole she made (some chicken and pasta thing) will be their midday meal and my dinner, along with a green salad.
Jerry, Diane is actually laboring on Labor Day. She’s already done two loads of laundry and now she’s ironing my shirts! I, on the other hand, am taking Labor Day seriously by reading a couple books!
Ironing shirts?
I’m so happy (and my wife too …) that on my holidays to the USA I bought a lot of Wrangler/Levis etc Western shirts – with snap buttons and 100% cotton.
I put them in the dryer after washing and they are perfect – nor ironing necessary!
PS: And they were really cheap in those outlets all over the USA!
Right now we have guests – my sister and her husband came from Munich and we’re trying a lot of Hungarian restaurants, ver good – and Hungarian wine too of course 🙂
Wolf, clothing for the most part is fairly cheap in the USA. Of course, almost 90% is made in other countries…especially China. So prices will be going up!

Our rain ended early (I hope for the day) and the sun is out. It feels a lot warmer too.
Not much laboring going on today. It marks yet another year of retirement for Jackie (and Diane).

Jeff, we had rain overnight. But it’s clearing up now. Temps are supposed to hit 75 degrees this afternoon.

Rick, I’m fond of casseroles especially if they contain pasta.
Now you have Jackie wanting to try this new hamburger place that opened in the neighborhood.
It started raining about an hour ago.
Jeff, Diane prefers her home-cooked hamburgers to those found at hamburger places.
From that picture I see that Diane is tying to spread her wings. Enjoy the holiday, George.
