Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there! I requested a beef brisket for Mother’s Day dinner, so John, with help from Julia, has been up all night smoking the brisket low-and-slow on the Big Green Egg; it will be ready around 3:00 pm. Julia will be making potato salad (from the recipe in the America’s Test Kitchen book, George) and I’ll make some guacamole and spicy cole slaw. The family will be gathering in the late afternoon for a feast. I believe gifts of some sort will be involved—lol!

Deb, Happy Mother’s Day to you! Glad that AMERICA’S TEST KITCHEN book is coming in handy. Patrick and Katie are make Brunch for Diane which will include omelettes, French Toast, and waffles. This evening, we have reservations at the swanky Italian restaurant, Sinatra’s. This will be the first time Diane, Katie, and I have eaten inside a restaurant since the Pandemic started. Patrick has been dining in restaurants since his J&J shot was fully effective.

Happy Mother’s Day to Diane, and Deb, and any of the other mothers reading this today.

Sounds good, Deb. I hope the gifts are edible ones!

Jeff, thanks for the kind wishes! I’ll pass them on to Diane. Patrick and Katie baked a Carrot Cake and Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies yesterday. They’re taking care of Brunch for Diane today, too! It’s great to have them home!

Happy day to all you mothers out there! Our daughter took us to the Windmill Bistro for brunch and flower shopping afterwards! The Bistro has a massive nursery attached! When we got home I took a nap!

Without you we would be nothing …
I admire Meghan and her husband in a way for realizing their ideas of independency.
Have you seen the dirty fake news that the English right wing newspapers have thrown at them? Horrible!
These people will do anything to sell more.
In Hungary Mother’s day is the first Sunday in May -my wife got presents and a visit from her son and his family, not always easy in these times.

Wolf, thanks for the Good Wishes! Diane was delighted that Patrick and Katie could spend Mother’s Day with us. The dinner at the swanky Italian restaurant went well. I couldn’t remember the last time I wore a tie! Over a year ago, at least!
