Jeff, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jackie! The stuffed turkey is in the oven. We’ll have mashed potatoes, green beans, jello fruit salad, rolls, gravy, and of course extra dressing. For dessert, six pies: apple, pecan, lemon, pumpkin, chocolate cream, and banana cream!
I made pecan, pumpkin, and fruit pies earlier this week. My husband has a brined turkey in the smoker (it already smells amazing); I’m in the process of cooking the sides (mashed potatoes, braised brussel sprouts, creamed spinach, dressing, and yams) and putting them on warming trays. I suspect my kids will manage to crawl out of their caves as we get closer to dinner time!
Deb, everything on your Thanksgiving menu sounds yummy! Patrick and Katie ran 5 miles this morning in the annual Turkey Trot race. But I’m guessing they may nap this afternoon. Thanksgiving dinner here is at 5 P.M.
Happy Thanksgiving, George!
Prashant, thanks for your kind Thanksgiving wishes!
Have a good day George!
Randy, the same to you and your family!
I’ve heard of push-up bras, George, but really?
Wishing you and family a wonderful day.
Jerry, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! We try to be up-lifting on this blog!
I suspect she will not be having second helpings today. As for me, as Homer Simpson would say, “Goodbye belt!”
Happy Thanksgiving!
Deb, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. “Good-bye belt” works for me, too! We’re having six pies for dessert!
Have a great Thanksgiving, George, and the same to Diane and the kids. What’s the menu?

Happy Thanksgiving, George, to you and the family. Stay warm and safe.
Rick, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! It’s 32 degrees outside with snow flurries.
Six pies? Well, all things to excess on a day like this.
Bob, Katie baked the apple pie and lemon pie. Our friend, Richard, made the cream pies for us. And the Pie Lady baked the pecan and pumpkin pies.

Jackie wants to know which of the six pies was the most popular. Other that the pumpkin they all sound great.
