It’s a new season and Bills fans are full of hope. We have a new Head Coach (Rex Ryan), a new QB (Tyrod Taylor), and the same old problem: lack of consistency. It’s been 15 years since the Buffalo Bills have made the playoffs. The new owners of the Bills, the billionaire Pegulas, may change the Bills’ losing ways. We’ll see. Today, Andrew Luck comes to Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first time. The game is a sell-out. The outcome of the game could foreshadow the rest of the Bills season. How will your favorite NFL team fare today?

After 2014’s lackluster season, this year’s winless pre-season, and an ever-changing roster of newbies and no-names, the Who-Dat Nation awaits today’s Saints v. Cardinals game in Phoenix with some trepidation. Drew Breese is still a great quarterback, but the organization doesn’t seem to be able to retain the receivers he needs to make all those rocket-arm passes count for something. Yes, it’s a new season and there’s always hope, but after last year don’t expect me to be too optimistic.

Deb, the Saints have a former Buffalo Bill, C. J. Spiller. Spiller had enormous talent, but was never used properly. Than, last year, Spiller got hurt. You may be pleasantly surprised by Spiller if he can stay healthy.

The Giants have lost four in a row to the hated Cowboys and I see no reason to expect a different outcome in The Big D today. This could be another long, hard season for Giants fans.

The hated Cowboys should beat the Giants, but I’m never confident in the Cowboys. The mediocre Texans have one great player, but he can’t play QB. Looks like another so-so year.

According to a NY Times article, the Cowboys seem to believe their offensive line is the star and anyone can do as well as Murray. I’m with you. I think they’re wrong.

Not that it will help the Giants tonight.

Jeff, Andrew Luck averaged 370 yards passing and 3 TDs per game in his first five Away Games. But, it’s raining here so that may slow the Colts down.

Seahawks vs. Rams. Rams improved during offseason through draft and trades, Seahawks didn’t plus Chancellor is holding out. So who knows? I’ll be busy repairing a wood fence so won’t know anyway.

I’m still bummed by Oregon’s lousy showing against Michigan State last night. I don’t think Adams is the hot stuff QB the team was hoping for.

I don’t think the Seahawks will be as strong this year as they’ve been for the last two.

Yep, that Oregon QB stunk on ice. He needs some seasoning.

Jeff, the Bills surprised me. They managed to keep Andrew Luck under control most of the day. I think the rain and wind in Ralph Wilson Stadium bothered the Colts.

I blame Pete Carroll and my wife. I switched off the game when it was 24-13 and next thing I heard it was 31-24 Seahawks. Then Linda came home and switched it on. I walked downstairs and 3 seconds later the bad guys scored a TD. For this I blame Carroll. With 8 seconds left and the bad guys at midfield he didn’t play a deep prevent defense. I walked away again but later read they opened overtime with an onside kick. Carroll’s stupidity again. His foolish gambles have cost us a position in the Super Bowl and a Super Bowl loss.
