John Madden’s NFL video game has been around for over 30 years. Madden NFL (known as John Madden Football from 1988 until 1993) is an American football video game series developed by EA Tiburon for EA Sports.
Originally, John Madden was on the cover of the game until 1994. Then, Madden NFL started featuring NFL players on the cover of the game. No Buffalo Bills player ever made the cover of Madden NFL…until now.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen was chosen to be on the cover of Madden NFL 24 along with another First: Buffalo Bills fans (aka, Bills Mafia). No fans ever appeared on the cover of Madden NFL until now.
Some Bills fans are worried about the Madden Curse (some players who have been on the cover of Madden NFL found themselves injured or playing sub-par). I think Josh Allen and Bills Mafia will have a great season! What do you think?

Athletes get injured (or have less-than-stellar seasons) all the time—and it has nothing to do with appearing on a video game cover. So I say to Josh Allen and Bills fans: enjoy this moment in the spotlight and let next season take care of itself!

What Deb said. I don’t believe in “curses” (like the one where you never get another acting job after winning an Oscar) or the like. Injuries are gonna happen every year, you just have to hope it is to the other team’s guys. I am not looking forward to the Giants’ visit to Buffalo October 15 for the Sunday night game, part of a really tough schedule this year.
