As the disappointing 2018 Buffalo Bills season comes to a close, there’s still one more meaningless game to play. The 7-8 Miami Dolphins come to snowy Buffalo with little motivation to win this game. The Dolphins, like the Bills, have been eliminated from Playoff contention. The 5-9 Bills are actually favored by 3 1/2 points. I’m guessing both teams will just be going through the motions in this one. How will your favorite NFL team do today?
The Lions are 5 and 10. Todays game is pretty meaningless.
Steve, there are a lot of meaningless NFL games today. But, a few actually count. I’m hoping the Colts make the Playoffs. Their Head Coach, Frank Reich, used to be a Buffalo Bill.
I’d like to think the Giants care about beating the hated Cowboys today, but it is yet another meaningless game for both sides, so who really cares?
The only games that matter involve Baltimore, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Pittsburgh (which has pretty much blown it), Minnesota and Philadelphia.
Bring on the playoffs!
Jeff, I’m with you: BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS! There are a lot of junk NFL games (one step above Preseason games) on today.
Having secured a bye week and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the 13-2 Saints take on the Panthers for the second time in three weeks—but this time in the Superdome. Although I’d like to see the Saints go 14-2, my guess is Sean Peyton will rest his main players, including QB Drew Brees, and send out the B-squad to play what is, in essence, a meaningless game. The Panthers will be without QB Cam Newton, so I don’t expect them to bring a powerhouse game to the Dome. At this point, both teams are going through the motions.
Deb, Sean Peyton is smart to rest his key players. This is basically a quasi-Preseason game for the Saints. A win or loss won’t matter in the Greater Scheme of Things.
You all say these games are “meaningless”. To the fans, I suppose, but not to players and coaches who are playing for pride, a job next year and a game in the W column.
Seahawks play Arizona in Seattle. Pete Carroll says he’s not going to play “light”, as he wants to be sharp for the Dallas game. We’ll see.
Rick, I guessing a lot of players may lack motivation in these meaningless games. Many players fear injury in a game that means nothing, especially if the player plans on moving on to another team (or retire). Plus, a lot of these coaches will be fired next week.
Bills up 14-0 at end of first quarter. Will it be a blowout?
Rick, the Half-time score is 14-14. When the Bills are involved, you can’t take anything for granted.
It was a blowout. Good for the Bills.
Rick, there was a fracas in the Third Quarter. Two Dolphins and one Bill got ejected for fighting. Kiko Alonzo (remember him?) kicked Bills QB Josh Allen in the head. After that, the Dolphins sank and the Bills got on a roll!
Apparently, the Saints ALL decided to take the day off. Giants are down 21-18 after three quarters. Jets are getting crushed by the Patriots,

Seahawks won, barely. Should have been a larger margin. Now I’m worried about Dallas.
Rick, the Seahawks have already beaten Dallas this season.
Arizona, instead of just saying let’s take the #1 draft choice, played really hard.
The early odds for next week favor all the home teams, but these could be four really good, hard-fought games. Looking forward to them.
