NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

With last Sunday’s surprising win over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills moved to 6-5. But once again the Bills are 9-point underdogs to the 9-2 New England Patriots. The Patriots are on a 7-game win streak. Tom Brady is 28-4 against the Bills. The weather today will look more like October than December: 45 degrees and sunny. No snow. How will your favorite NFL team fare today?

The 8-3 Saints take on the 8-3 Panthers in the Superdome this afternoon to determine who will lead the NFC South. Playing at home used to give the Saints a real advantage, but those days are in the past. The Saints will have to fight on every drive to make it past the resurgent Panthers. I’ll be listening while I put up Christmas decorations.

Deb, we’ll be decorating our Christmas tree during the Patriots vs. Bills game. The tree is up with the lights (Patrick helped when he was home). The Panthers vs. Saints is the Game of the Day! Go, Saints!

The awful (2 wins) Giants are in Oakland later, with Eli Manning sitting in favor of Geno Smith. I expect them to keep losing.

    I won’t be watching.

You won’t hear anyone in San Diego complaining about benching Eli!! Our paper had nothing about it.

I was glad to see Aaron Rodgers is coming off injured reserve and may play in 2 weeks.

45degrees is Autumn weather?? That’s deepest winter for us!!

Maggie, by this time in December we’re freezing and snow covers the ground. But, not this year! Sunny and 45 degrees is balmy for us! Snow is forecast for later this week.

The worst outcome would be losing Russell Wilson. I watched 3 games yesterday and I’m footballed-out.

Probably won’t watch any today, Barbara wants to get a bunch of yard chores done before our first freeze (Wednesday), so we’re taking in hoses, turning off faucets at the inside valves (sprinklers were shut down weeks ago), and taking down the last of the hanging baskets, digging the Dahlia bulbs, raking leaves (again), and such fun stuff. The problem is I have a restriction on bending over or lifting of 5 lb. so I’m not sure how much help I will be.

Rick, Great Minds think alike. I ran the gas out of our lawn mower. I gassed up Big Orange and started up the snowblower. Snow is predicted for later this week so now I’m ready. If I were you, I’d just be watching the work instead of doing it in your condition. No risky behavior!

Sorry about the Bills game, but I think you expected something of the sort. Barbara is now watching the Seahawks game, but (though they are ahead early) I’m afraid to look. I’ll read about it in the paper tomorrow.

The left eye is starting to heal, another few days and it will be good. Then the wait for the right one. My surgery on that is a couple of days before Christmas. Joy.

Rick, the Seahawks won and your eye is getting better faster! All Good News! The Bills performed as expected. They’re a mediocre 6-6 team and showed it yesterday.
