NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

The New England Patriots have beaten the Buffalo Bills 34 out of the past 38 games. Of course, Tom Brady had a lot to do with that domination. But, Brady is in Tampa and many of the key Patriot players are hurt so this game could be completely different from the usual annual beat-down. The Bills are actually favored (it’s been 20 years since that happened!) by 3 points.

In a radio interview on our local Sports Talk station this week, a Boston sports writer claimed Cam Newton is suffering from Covid-19 “brain-fog.” Cam Newton looked confused last week in the Patriots 33-6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The forecast for the game is rain, wind, and actual fog. How will your favorite NFL team perform today?

The 4-2 Saints travel to Chicago to take on the 5-2 Bears. Saints are, I believe, narrowly favored in this game, but my guess is that—regardless of who wins—it will be a hard-fought game both offensively and defensively.

Deb, the Saints and the Bears seem evenly matched. This is going to be another nail-biter! Hopefully, the Bills can get an early lead on the Patriots and cruise to a victory.

They’ll do great! That’s right, you guessed it, the Giants are not playing today. They host Tampa Bay on Monday night. They will lose, again.

Meanwhile, the pathetic Jets (0-7) travel to Kansas City for a beat down by the Super Bowl champs.

    Sad.

Too bad they didn’t play today. Maybe the rain would have helped. But tomorrow is predicted to be dry, but with 45-55 mph wind gusts, so in the Meadowlands, that could really be an adventure.

        The Giants will still lose.

It’s raining in Baltimore, too, for the big Ravens/Steelers game. It’s possible that it may only rain for the first quarter or so. The Ravens are favored, but the teams are pretty evenly matched. I can’t call it.

Jeff, the Bills won because of a Cam Newton turnover in the closing moments of the game. The Patriots were poised to win, but they snatched Defeat from the jaws of Victory.
