NEW ORLEANS SAINTS VS. BUFFALO BILLS (CBS)

The 3-0 Buffalo Bills host the 0-3 New Orleans Saints. And we’ll be hosting 13 of Diane’s former colleagues for the Annual Buffalo Bills Party today. We’ll have the usual: pizza, chicken wings, shrimp (not radioactive!), salads (green, fruit, potato, and pasta), and for dessert, carrot cake, lemon cake, and an apple pie.

The Bills are favored by 16 1/2 points. Check out the Josh Allen merch! How will your favorite NFL team perform today?

No idea how the Ravens vs KCChiefs game will go. Neither team has covered themselves in glory so far.

Buffalo is a choice for all my family in our Survivor Pool. My brother and sister have also picked Detroit, while my second choice is Denver — the problem with that being I have to wait until late Monday night to know if I’m in or out.

Jeff, most Bills fans are rooting for the Ravens to beat the Chiefs this afternoon! I’m not confident that the Bills will cover the 16 1/2 point spread.

Seeing as how the fortunes of the Bills and the fortunes of the Saints appear to be going in diametrically opposite directions, I will just assume the Bills will remain undefeated while the Saints will continue looking for their first win. Meanwhile, today is the last day of the regular baseball season and there are still a couple of races left to be decided (as in, will this team be the division champ or go in as a wild card), so I’ll be switching back and forth between baseball and football this afternoon. Enjoy your party, George; you guys will undoubtedly be celebrating a victory!

Right. If Cincinnati wins, the Mets are toast no matter what they do today.

The Yankees managed to tie the Blue Jays, but the odds are still that they will be the “1 Wild Card team and host the Red Sox starting Tuesday. Only if they can win their eighth straight (over a tough Orioles pitcher) and Toronto loses to a team that doesn’t care (Tampa Bay) can they jump to first place…and a bye as the #1 seed.

I’m not really paying attention to the 0-3 Giants, 6 1/2 point underdogs to the Chargers. At least they are giving their talented rookie QB a chance, which, after a stellar preseason, they should have done three games ago.

Since the chargers left, I root for the Bills, Chiefs, Saints & Rams in alphabetical order. I think my rooting for the Saints goes back to Drew Brees ending up there and winning the Superbowl after the chargers dumped him

Jaxson Dart scored an early touchdown and the Giants led start to finish over the 3-0 Chargers, winning 21-18.

Looks like Toronto is going to win, and the Mets are blowing their last chance.

The Seahawks beat the hated Saints on Thursday! Good to see the Giants win today! I won $6.00 at the casino yesterday, but that represents a comeback when I was down a couple hundred! I’m satisfied!
