The Bills lost to the Baltimore Ravens 13-7 in the Opening Day game. The Bills offense was listless. The Bills defense couldn’t stop the Ravens when they needed to. In this first Thursday Night Game of the season, the Bills face an AFC divisional opponent, the New York Jets. The Jets lost a squeaker to the Cincinnati Bengals 23-22. The loser of this game will be in a deep hole just one week into the NFL season! The Bills defeated the Jets twice last year. Can they do it again? If they do, the Bills need to score more than seven points!
I saw on a sports show yesterday that both Ryan brothers’ jobs are on the line (and also that, for various reasons, they both had their lap bands removed from their stomachs). If the Bills lose tonight, salvation may be closer than you think, George.
Deb, Rex Ryan made a lot of promises to Bills fans when he arrived in Buffalo. He hasn’t delivered.
I don’t know who the Seahawks play Sunday, but they also need to find some offense if they hope to win. Hope you’re having fun on this first day of Bouchercon.
Rick, the Seahawks play the pathetic LA Rams. Easy win. We just had lunch with Art Scott and are about to go to a panel that has Bill Crider, Joe Lansdale, and Lawrence Block on it.
Jets are going nowhere.
We had a good time, even met the famous Patrick Kelley, and George generously took a group of us out for dinner. (I had a blackened shrimp salad. Very tasty.)
Jeff, it was fun to see you and Jackie and the Smiths! It’s been too long!
Bills behind, but only 20-17, so maybe they can catch up.
Rick, the Bills suck. Rex Ryan and his brother Rob are DUMB AND DUMBER!
Sorry they lost, George. They need to boot Ryan (you’ll recall I said it was a mistake when they hired him). Maybe they could get David Shaw, the Stanford head coach.
Rick, Rex Ryan failed in New York with the Jets and Rob flopped with the Saints (as defensive coordinator). Two Wrongs don’t make a Right.
attn: DEB – Barbara just got DISCLAIMER by Renee Knight from the library. She’ll probably finish the book she’s reading now tonight or tomorrow, then start on your suggestion.
Rick, the Meyersons, Kelleys, and Bill Crider are meeting Deb and her husband tomorrow morning! Wish you could be here with us!
