NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS, PART 1: HOUSTON TEXANS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS (4:30 P.M.) and GREEN BAY PACKERS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (8:15 P.M.)

THIS IS WHAT 30 INCHES OF SNOW LOOKS LIKE
SNOW ON TOP OF OUR GENERATOR

The Houston Texans travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens. The Ravens are 9 1/2 point favorites. Weather might be factor in this game. And the San Francisco 49ers are 9 1/2 point favorites over the surprising Green Bay Packers. Who do you think will win these games?

        8 degrees Fahrenheit?
That would be the unlucky thirteen (-13 degrees Celsius).
I hope you manage this temperature and the snow well!
Haven’t had this type of weather in central Europe in the last 20 years …

Wolf, much of the U.S. is dealing with snow and cold temperatures. Yes, that’s 8 degrees Fahrenheit but it feels much colder with the wind chill. I’ve lived in this climate for my whole Life so I’m used to it.

Jerry, thanks for the link! A few hundred Bills fans are at the Stadium shoveling out the snow to prepare for tomorrow’s epic KC vs. Bills game!

I should keep those pictures handy on my phone to show Floridians who complain about all the rain and the somewhat cool temperatures! Stay warm!

As for the games, the ‘Niners and Ravens are pretty much no-brainers today, but who knows? No one expected the Packers to make mincemeat out of the Cowboys (though I was certainly rooting for it to happen). I don’t know about point spreads, but it would be a big upset if either #1 seed were to lose. We’ll see.

Saturday is Pizza Day for us down here. We’ll raise a slice in your honor.

We had to run water in our pipes again last night (and will have to tonight too): temps in the low-20s. Not exactly winter-storm-in-Buffalo cold, but cold enough for Louisiana…

As for the games, I have no particular favorites, but I’ll root for the Ravens and the Packers, just because…

Deb, when my brother bought a new home years ago, his pipes froze. The builder had not insulated the plumbing properly. My father had to bring his blow-torch over to my brother’s house and “de-ice” the pipes.

Green Bay made a fight of it but lost! The Texans–the only Texas team I like–never had a chance! I went to the casino and made $100 while waiting to get seated for lunch! I guess I can’t complain!
