NFL 2015 PLAYOFFS: Dallas vs. Green Bay; Indianapolis vs. Denver

dallas and green bay
colts and broncos
Aaron Rodgers has been hobbled by a calf injury (complicated by Ndamukong Suh standing on it). That makes this game tricky to call. How mobile will Aaron Rodgers be? The Packers are favored by 6 points. If Rodgers can move, the Packers can cover. If Rodgers can’t move, the Cowboys should win. In the second game, Peyton Manning and the Broncos are favored by 7 points. The Colts have Andrew Luck, but little else. I think Denver will win Big Time. What do you think?

    SEAHAWKS! SEAHAWKS! SEAHAWKS!

Two of the three teams I hate play on Sunday, so I’m cheering for the Colts and Packers.

I don’t care what the score is as long as Dallas loses. I hope they do. Indianapolis should have been better than they were this year. They are hard to understand at times. I’m going with Green Bay and Denver.

A five year deal, no less. That’s surprising, though the rumors did say it was in the works. At least the Jets seem to have passed on the arrogant Doug Marrone.

Rex Ryan at Bills? Oh no……………..

I’d like to see the Packers win, and in the other game I expect Denver to cover the spread, they’re the better team. And as Bob said,

    S E A H A W K S !! S E A H A W K S !! S E A H A W K S !!

That was a particularly satisfying way for Dallas to lose, especially after last week’s injustice. And yes, it was the right call. Clearly, when he hit the ground the ball came loose. Seahawks-Packers should be a good one.

I know Phil Simms didn’t want you to turn off the game, but with three minutes left and Denver dead as a doornail was he seriously talking about them getting two scores? Indianapolis outplayed them offensively and defensively – and Denver’s punting was abysmal too – nearly from start to finish. Clearly a four man rush wasn’t going to get to Andrew Luck and yet they gave him all the time in the world to throw, and naturally he picked them apart. And Denver’s offense was futile.

Maybe it’s time for Peyton to retire.

Jeff, I was thinking the same thing. Peyton looked ancient out there. And the vaulted Denver defense didn’t show up. I’m sure Tom Brady and the Patriots were hoping for Denver to win, but now they face the dangerous Colts. The Patriots had trouble with the pesky Ravens. The Colts are a better team with a better quarterback.

I think Bob hates all the teams but the Seahawks… I’m looking forward to both games next weekend, though of course the early game will be the one I’ll be glued to. GO SEAHAWKS and all that.

The conversation will now begin: how many seasons does Peyton have left? I think as many s Brady and Rogers, then the next generation takes over…
