NFL WEEK 16

Sadly, the Buffalo Bills lost to the New England Patriots 24-17 yesterday. However, the Bills are still in the Playoffs and I suspect they will “rest” many of their starters next week against the NY Jets to prepare for the Houston Texans. How will your favorite NFL team perform today?

Wow! Look at the abs on that babe! My team, the Seahawks, will crush the hated Cardinals like the insects they are! They will pound them relentlessly, mercilessly, constantly!

    I hope!

A merry Sunday to all – we’re already preparing for Xmas when my wife’s young ones will come from Budapest.

The Lions? Terrible season. Starting QB Matt Stafford has been out and the backup QB is also hurt. They have been going with their 3rd string QB. The Lions have been rebuilding since 1960. Never been to the Superbowl. Never even close.

I was disappointed too. I was hoping that the Bills would find a way to pull it out when they were up 17-14, but wasn’t surprised they lost.

As for the Giants, the less said, the better. They did beat the awful Dolphins last week to end their nine game losing streak, but I expect them to lose in Washington today.

Jeff, the “silver lining” to the Bills loss at Foxboro is that they now have the luxury of “resting” their starters next week when the NY Jets come to town. The Bills can treat it as a Preseason game and get ready to face the Houston Texans on Wild Card Weekend.

I DO NOT LIKE THE “RESTING PLAYERS” idea, AT ALL! If you’re not going to try your best, don’t bother playing the game at all. BAH! Any team that rests players deserves to lose, and if they don’t care if they lose, they should get a new owner and coaches or be put out of the league.

Rick, the team most famous for “resting” their players is the New England Patriots. Once they clinch a Playoff berth, the playing time for their “starters” declines…or disappears. Of course, the Patriots just won the AFC East for THE 11TH TIME IN A ROW using their “resting” strategy so perhaps it works.

I know that, George. For heaven’s sake. And don’t just blame the team you hate, most of the teams rest players.

Now that the Seahawks have blown it, losing to the Cardinals, they could wind up even as the 6 seed. The way they played, and the injuries they have, they will be lucky to win a playoff game against anyone. Phooey.

Rick, the New England Patriots have turned “resting” players into an art form. Once again, the Patriots will have a First Round bye in the Playoffs–another week to rest their players. And, that bye means the Patriots only have to win TWO Playoff games–not THREE–to make it to the Super Bowl. I don’t hate the Patriots, but I’m tired of their shenanigans. I’m hoping the Bills have a great Draft, sign some key Free Agents, and beat the Patriots TWICE next season!
