NFL WEEK SEVEN

The 5-1 Buffalo Bills are enjoying their Bye (and hopefully healing up!). Josh Allen has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week two straight weeks: first for the 38-3 beatdown of the Steelers and secondly for the 24-20 gem of a game in Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs played a close game but came out on the losing side. How will your favorite NFL do today?

After two losses in seven days (last Sunday to the Bengals and last Thursday to the Cardinals—where two pick-sixes factored into the loss), the 2-5 Saints have a week off to try to generate some mojo. I see them basically lumbering around in the NFC South basement for the rest of the season, alas.

After a second straight thrilling last minute victory over a top opponent – first Green Bay, then Baltimore – you’d think the Giants would have it easy in Jacksonville today. But the Jaguars, while weak against the pass, are good against the run, which is bad for the Giants.

But I don’t see Daboll and his coaching staff allowing the usual Giants letdown so I am hoping for some more second half magic.

As always, however, do not bet on it.

Jeff, last year the Bills–favored by 10 points–played the Jaguars and lost badly. Any given Sunday… I’ll be rooting for the Giants!

They did it again. Even though they gave the Jags a chance to come back with several late penalties, they hung on to win.

The Lions are losing to Dallas right now. They will be 1-5. Terrible. They just fumbled the ball on the 1 yard line.

Steve, I thought the Lions had a chance to upset the Cowboys when the score was 10-6. But then the fumble…and then the inception. Terrible!
