PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

The Buffalo Bills (9-3) are in Prime Time again–this time on NBC’s Sunday Night Football–taking on the 11-1 Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills are 2-point favorites. The Steelers are playing their third game in 12 days. And, the Steelers are the only NFL team without a Bye Week (that was lost with all the Covid-19 problems with the Ravens) because their games kept being moved around. How will your favorite NFL do today?

The Ravens situation was a mess and involved rescheduling the Steelers game multiple times, but it did not impact the Steelers’ bye week. That happened early in the season when the Tennessee Titans were having their pandemic issues.

Jeff, thanks for that clarification. All the same, the Steelers are now playing three games in 12 days. I’m hoping the Bills can take advantage of their fatigue.

Good question. The Giants shocked the Seahawks (and me!) in Seattle last week, but have another big challenge hosting Arizona at 1:00 on an almost balmy 60 degree day. If they can keep playing like they have been they have a shot at holding on to their division lead and getting closer to making the playoffs, Unbelievable.

Jeff, Arizona needs to beat the Giants today in order to stay “In the Hunt” for a Playoff berth. I’m rooting for the Giants, but they’ll have to bring their A-game against the Cards today.

The 10-2 Saints journey to Philadelphia to take on the 3-8-1 Eagles today. The twins and I are “attending” a baby shower via Zoom this afternoon so I’m not sure how much of the game I’m going to be able to see, but—despite the disparity in their records—I don’t take a Saints victory as a given, especially with so many factors (particularly the state of Drew Brees’s injuries) still up in the air.

Deb, the Eagles benched Carson Wentz and the Saints will be facing Jalen Hurts today. I think the Saints will take care of business. Have fun with the virtual baby shower!

Bob, your Seahawks pummeled the Jets, 40-3! Congratulations! I figured you wouldn’t be watching the Steelers vs. Bills game tonight because you’d be listening to some Beatles music.
