For the first time in Apple TV+’s SLOW HORSES series, two Mick Herron books are being used in Season 6 episodes. Joe Country (2019) and Slough House (2021) show the threats to the spies of Slough House both from evil mercenaries and bureaucratic enemies.
I thought SLOW HORSES, Season 5 was the best of the series. Could Season 6 be better? We’ll see. Apple TV+ releases one of the six episodes per week so it will take until the end of October to judge how good this new series is. GRADE: Incomplete but trending towards an A.

We were going to watch this last night, but when we saw there was only one episode available, we decided to wait a couple of weeks. We started NEAGLEY instead. Looks like she could have used Reacher to stick around.
Jeff, I’m hoping NEAGLEY gets a second season.
Season Five was not my favorite but I can’t remember why. 6 started out with a bang.
Patti, I’m curious how Season 6 will blend JOE COUNTRY and SLOUGH HOUSE into the action.
I heard about it too late. I’m going to be getting a new tv someday, hopefully after the new year and will get prime, Netflix and maybe brit box. I expect I’ll be asking for suggestions.
Maggie, we have Apple TV+ and Netflix. I think the Meyersons have Brit Box.
Yes, Britbox and Apple+ and Netflix and Prime and Acorn and MHz Choice and PBS Masterpiece and HBO and Showtime and MGM+ and…easier to say what we don’t have – Disney and Hulu and Peacock and Paramount + (though Jackie is planning on getting it back when there’s a sale), all of which we’ve had at one point or another.
I think that Apple has the most stuff we’re currently watching.
Jackie watches a lot of television.
Jeff, I agree with you: Apple TV+ has high quality programs. But I’ve watched a lot of AMAZON PRIME Video lately…
