Slow Horses, Season Two is even better than Slow Horses, Season One which made my list of FAVORITE TV SHOWS OF 2022. Based on Mick Herron’s Dead Lions, this six-episode series on Apple TV+ features the brilliant Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, the head of a team of dysfunctional MI5 agents at Slough House. But when a Cold War retired agent is killed, Lamb investigates and finds a complicated plot of Russian sleeper spies.
Rotten Tomatoes rates Slow Horses, Season Two at a 100% on the Critics Tomatometer, 95% on the Audience score. This series received the Green Light for Seasons Three and Four. And, if you’re a spy fan, this series about a group of spies who screwed-up and are now exiled in a dead-end division of MI5 lead by a boss who looks like a vagrant, offers something unique and special. And, this TV version actually enhances Mick Herron’s books. GRADE: A

While going thru stuff at my house I found something interesting. An unopened apple ipod shuffle. Someone told me it’s a collectors item, maybe worth $80 right now.

Maggie, the Amazing Patrick just bought Katie a new iWatch for Christmas. Both of my children love devices. Most people today play music through their iPhones. I think Apple may have pulled the plug on iPods in 2022. But, I’m sure Apple collectors would love your unopened iPod shuffle! I’ll ask Patrick about it when he gets back from his vacation in Puerto Rico. And, thanks for the Toe Warmers!
you’re welcome saw them at GTM, which is said to be where costco dumps stuff. Not sure all of the stuff is there, but I get fantastic bargains there. bag of orville reddenbacher microwave popcorn for 8c, is one example. there are 2 in san diego near me and I have to restrain myself. got pack of 3 gift card holders after christmas for 9c, stuff like that dove mousse cleanser for $3 (i use in in the shower on my face and neck, its $8 at cvs where i usually get it) let me know if you want more if they still have them
Maggie, the temperature here today was 47 degrees. We are experiencing a Heat Wave for January! After years of rumors, Western NY is finally getting a Costco. They’re building it now and it’s supposed to open this Summer. The next closest Costco is in St. Catherines, Ontario.
No Apple +. I read a few of the books and some of the short stories, so I would like to see this eventually.
Jeff, I assumer some other streaming service will pick up SLOW HORSES eventually. Well worth watching!
