Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 4 got off to a wild start with the first of 10 episodes–“Valles Marineris”–the Enterprise and its crew are assigned an “easy” mission: check out a cosmic storm. But things go sideways as the storm sends them 65 million years into the Past.
“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series (1966–1969).”
A fifth season has been ordered for 2027. GRADE: Incomplete but trending towards a B+
I’m a fan of Strange New Worlds, much more so than PICARD or DISCOVERY. I like the portrayal of Pike and the buildup of previously underused characters like Nurse Chappell.
Bul due to the evil Ellison, Jackie dropped our Paramount + subscription. Apparently, they have a sale in late August and she will rejoin temporarily at the bargain price, for this and LIONESS and LANDMAN.
Jeff, the merger between Paramount and Warner Brothers has been blocked by a Federal judge. Trump will get involved and Make It Happen. But what a mess! Pike is an excellent Captain and I love both his Number One and Nurse Chappell.
I dropped PARAMOUNT and PEACOCK. I would have enjoyed this.
Patti, I think STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is near the top of the STAR TREK spin-off series. Great cast and compelling stories.
Haven’t had the pleasure. Some day, perhaps.
Just found an ex-womanfriend’s ST ACADEMY t-shirt. Shall ask if she’d like it returned…we’re still sporadically in touch.
