STARBUCKS K-CUP VARIETY PACKS

Roast Collection: Variety Pack Cup Coffee Pods: Veranda Blend, Breakfast Blend, House Blend, Caffee Verona

CLASSIC FAVORITES: Variety Pack cup Coffee Pods: Veranda Blend, Caramel, Vanilla, and Toasted Coconut Mocha

Starbucks has introduced these Variety Packs of K-Cups recently. I bought these at BJ’s Warehouse for about $30 (with a coupon). If you like Starbucks coffee, this is a good way to sample various Starbucks coffee offerings. What’s your favorite coffee?

I grew up in one of those families that fired up the big plug-in percolator throughout the day and into the evening. I similarly remember my grandparents drinking coffee all morning and day then during and after dinner the way you see characters do in B&W movies.

I never touched the stuff until I was in my late twenties when the coffee shop boom exploded and that was only because I’d outgrown bars and it was nice to have a place to go to at night where you could chill out with a book and a cup of joe for a few hours. Even then I was a mom & pop coffee shop guy. Starbucks always felt a bit like McDonalds to me and their coffee is the the most acidic I’ve ever tasted.

I haven’t gone out for coffee in ages. The work-at-home crowd who are not at home and certainly not working have ruined all the cafes and shops around here. My stovetop pot suits me just fine (it isn’t real coffee if it doesn’t bubble up into a little dome) and no flavored coffee for me.

Byron, my parents had a percolating coffee pot they used for years. I started drinking coffee in High School and never stopped. For many years I stuck with Columbian coffee, but in recent years I’ve branched out.

I don’t think we have a Keurig coffee maker! I’ve only been drinking coffee for the past three years and I have whatever Linda makes! No favorite! I do like CoffeeMate’s sugar free Sweet Italian Cream in it! Or is it Italian Sweet Cream?! I have one cup when I get up and that’s all! The idea of paying Starbuck’s prices gives me the willies!

Bob, Starbucks stores around here are always busy and have a dozen vehicles in their Drive-Thru. I prefer to buy Starbucks coffee and brew it in my Cuisinart Coffee Maker or my Keurig.

Starbucks started out here and is still going strong! There are locations within 100 yards of other locations! People can do what they want but it’s not for me! I did take my oldest granddaughter there for sodas, but I didn’t get one for myself! Thankfully, it was just a phase and she’s over it!

Not a fan of Starbucks. Overpriced, terrible burnt taste, too many trendy, sicky-sweet caffeinated concoctions trying to pass themselves off as coffee. long lines, pretentious customers wanting to feel special about what they are drinking, workers having to call themselves baristas, and strong anti-union leadership! Ptah!

Jerry, I just buy bags of Starbucks coffee or K-Cups and brew the coffee at home. I prefer the Starbucks Blonde coffees which don’t have the burnt taste.

Jackie said, “Since George only likes Blonde, what is he going to do with the rest of it?”

Like Jerry, we’re off Starbucks. We broke the habit during the pandemic, and Jackie figures NOT going to Starbucks 5 (or 6) times a week is saving us $100 a month. Plus, the coffee is too strong and too burnt tasting.

We’re now drinking a combination – half Kirkland (Costco) French Roast and Community Cafe Blend Medium Dark. The Starbucks was on sale at Costco last month, but the Kirkland was still $3 cheaper and Jackie decided she likes it better so we skipped the Starbucks.

My parents drank their coffee just straight black, no sugar, so when I started drinking it, that’s how I learned. I do have to add sweetener & milk with Starbucks however, as it is just too much.

Jeff, tell Jackie I keep the non-Blonde coffee K-Cups for the friends and family who drop in unannounced. I also have some de-cafe K-Cups for Diane’s Book Club members who ask for it.

One of my duties during the 8 months I worked at the PECO power-trading division was brewing the morning pots with the pre-K-Cup packages hey had…I made one pot one day with espresso, and only the Italian woman trader and I enjoyed it…certain proclivities might run in the genes.

My TV GUIDE friend April as startled at the amount of coffee I could drink in a day…

I don’t drink coffee at all, and neither does Glen. We both stopped long ago. It made me too jittery. I like the smell though.

We drink bottled teas like Tejava or Pure Leaf Tea, unsweetened. Or at restaurants we drink iced tea. Sometimes hot tea at home.

Tracy, I occasionally drink Pure Leaf Tea Unsweetened. I have reduced my coffee consumption over the years. I’m down to 8 cups a day now.
