STOK COLD BREW COFFEE

When it’s in the 90s in Western NY, nothing refreshes me like some Cold Brewed Coffee. Last week B. J.’s Warehouse sent Diane and me a little pamphlet of coupons and one of them was for Stok Cold Brew Coffee. I chose the Un-Sweet Black variety, but there are plenty of flavored versions.

The Ads claims Stok Cold Brew Coffee is READY TO DRINK and is BOLD & SMOOTH COFFEE. I took a sip and the Ad is right. The Stok tasted smooth and delicious! I would certainly buy this again, even without the coupon. Are you a fan of Cold Brew Coffee? GRADE: A

Stok is my favorite brand, particularly the “Ultra Bold” version, but of late we’ve been drinking ,ore Wegman’s, which runs a couple of dollars cheaper for similarly-sized bottles, and is nearly as good. Most often, I’ll drink them in 1 part coffee, 3 parts unsweetened Almond Milk “lattes”…

I’ll believe it (though, as a Type 2 diabetic, I avoid all the ingested alc); the (Wegman’s) almond milk adds a nice flavor to the mix as well. And the flavor I prefer is apparently Extra Bold…but is most identifiable from the purple label.

Look carefully at the labels on the Wegman’s cold-brew bottles, as they, too, come in flavors…but the labels aren’t nearly as distinct, and you might pick up a flavor you don’t care for.

Yes, love me my iced coffee – a staple I found summer – and cold brew in particular. Never heard of Stok, though it sounds good. Mostly we drink my own homemade, though I will drink cold brew out.

The Weg runs, down here, something like $4.80 per 48 oz bottle (we’ll see if Airhead’s tariffs allow that to continue), and Weg regular price on the Stok bottles is about $6.

The smell of coffee makes me sick. I’ve never intentionally had any coffee in my life. Once I thought it was iced tea being served and the taste was just as nasty as the hot coffee smell.

I was lured in as a child by mocha. Drank a fair amount of General Foods mocha mix when I was 9yo, and have never stopped. But bad coffee can put me off…blandly acidic.

George, I think we’ve established that Stok is good bottled coffee, hence would not be, say, as blandly acidic as the worst instant coffee brands…but Extra Bold is unsurprisingly just a bit more acidic than the more “smoothed-out” flavors, but it comes with an even stronger coffee flavor.

Todd, I’ll have to give EXTRA BOLD Stok a try. I’m not adverse to a little acidity in exchange for stronger coffee flavor.

If northern NY has Acme Supermarkets as well, they are having a $5 Stok bottles on sale this week…Acme is the same conglomerate as Safeway and such these days, but I somehow doubt All the divisions have the same sales, but that would be useful.
