TAYLOR SWIFT: THE ERAS TOUR CONCERT FILM

Diane and I drove over to our local AMC Theater and joined hundreds of Swifties for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The two-hour and 48-minute concert film featured most of the songs Taylor Swift sang during her “The Eras” tour. The sold-out theater with women and girls, dressed up in their favorite Taylor Swift garb, sang enthusiastically along with Taylor Swift and her backup singers.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Taylor Swift: the Eras Tour took in $126 million this weekend making it the highest grossing concert movie in history. The spectacle, the lighting, the special effects, and the platforms that took Taylor Swift up and down on the stage thrilled the audience. The sound, sometimes a problem in concert movies, was clear and brilliant. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour puts Taylor Swift and her talent on grand display! GRADE: A

I have tkts for Thursday, George. I couldn’t name a single one of those songs. It might be more fun to see it with the kids. Or not.

Patti, the outfits the girls wore sparkled throughout the movie! Plenty of audience energy! I’ll be interested in your response to this concert movie!

Jackie wants to know if you two were the oldest people there and what was the general age of the crowd. I’m better than Patti in that I recognize about three of the songs, but the chance of my going to see this in a theater full of screeching girls and women is zero. Glad you enjoyed it. I gave Taylor a lot of credit.

Jeff, tell Jackie we were the only ones wearing N95 masks in the AMC Theater. Most of the little girls, accompanied by mothers (younger than us) or grandmothers (older than us), dressed up in their favorite Taylor Swift Era costume. I’m amazed that with the volume of songs, the audience knew the words! Impressive!

Jeff, if I was going to wear a costume, I’d go with one of the cool cloaks Taylor Swift and her backup singers wore for “Willow.”

Gag me with a spoon! Swift is fine to look at but you wouldn’t catch me in a mob of teenyboppers caterwauling along to music I don’t want to hear in the first place! Include me out and stay off my lawn!

I can’t imagine anything that I would want to see less than this. I admit I know more about her than I ever did due to the flood of photos of her and Kansas City football player Kelces that keep showing up on Facebook. Not being a NFL fan like you. I also knew nothing about him.

Kent, the Taylor Swift concert movie is quite an experience! You have to admire a performer who can sing and dance for nearly 3 hours straight!
