THE VERY BEST OF ENYA

I own all of Enya’s CDs so you would think I wouldn’t be in the market for this new collection. But you would be wrong. I can’t think of a better stocking stuffer than an Enya CD. Her ethereal music and distinctive voice are magical. Most people I know don’t have all of Enya’s CDs (but probably wish they had) so this new VERY BEST OF ENYA makes holiday giving easy. I’ll probably buy a dozen copies to gift to friends and relatives.

You could buy Yo-Yo Ma’s 30 YEARS OUTSIDE THE BOX set that includes 90 CDs and an a book for a mere $790. Or you could buy Yo-Yo Ma’s SUPER HITS on Sony for $5.98, Patti. It depends on your budget. I consider Yo-Yo Ma the finest cellist around. Any of his CDs would delight a listener. I’ve seen him perform numerous times and he’s always been terrific!

It depends on what period you’re looking for, Patti. I love cello music, and George is correct that YoYo Ma is very, very good. I’m partial to the VIVALDI Cello Concetri (I have a couple of recordings, there’s a good one of 1,4,7,8,9,11,12 with Kertész and the Hungarian State Opera Chamber Orchestra on Amadis Records. Of course the Schumann Concerto in A minor is one of the most popular pieces.
