THIS IS CHRISTMAS By Katherine Jenkins

We have dozens of Christmas music CDs but each year we tend to add one or two to our mix. This year, it’s This Is Christmas by Katherine Jenkins. I’m a big fan of Katherine Jenkins. She’s been compared to Sarah Brightman because she sings classical as well as pop songs. The songs on this CD range from traditional to modern. If you’re tired of the same old same old Christmas songs, you might want to give Katherine Jenkins’s This Is Christmas a listen. You can find my review of Katherine Jenkins: The Ultimate Collection here. Check out the sample below. GRADE: A

I may have to check this out because she does a version of my favorite carol, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”. It’s hard to find versions of that—it’s rarely recorded on pop Christmas albums.

Deb, I love the version of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” on THIS IS CHRISTMAS. I think you will, too! And I think you’ll enjoy Katherine Jenkins’s performances of the other Christmas songs on this CD.

I played the “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” in your post and it darn near put me to sleep. I have 50 or 60 Christmas CDs, but I don’t take them out anymore, except for a couple of choral ones. It’s too easy to listen on Amazon Music.

Rick, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” is supposed to be a reflective song. We generally circulate about a dozen Christmas CDs in our shuffle holders.

Rick, you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll be back to normal after your cataract surgery! Good luck!

As for the album, PASS! (No surprise, I’m sure!) Nothing against the singer or the songs; I just don’t need any Xmas music! Linda plays some of her CD’s and I listen to the MonaLisa Twins on YouTube for my music! Highly recommended, by the way!
