I thank all veterans for their service—particularly my sister, who served in uniform for 25 years.
Deb, when I see veterans I feel immense appreciation for their service to our country.
It is going to be a cold day for today’s Veterans Day parade, as we hit a new record low of 24 degrees (old record: 28) this morning, A week ago it was 74!
Jeff, same here! We had plenty of pleasant days last week but now we’re in the freezer!
Wouldn’t it be nice if we showed our appreciation by having no homeless or needy vets???
We’re having gorgeous weather, but I do wear long pants and long sleeves while on my morning walk, which I’m going on now.
Maggie, you’re right as usual. The treatment of homeless and damaged veterans is a disgrace.
Happy Veteran’s Day, George. Stay warm!
Rick, it’s a balmy 34 degrees here in Western NY. It will warm up a few degrees tomorrow for the Saints vs. Bills game.
Happy Veteran’s Day to all of you!
Not too much OT:
My wife just showed me this:
This site has a video of our favourite “young” blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa (we’ve been to several of his concerts in Germany) playing with an Air Force Veteran’s band.
Really groovy …
Wolf, I’m not much into blues guitarists, but my favorite is Robert Cray.
