2017 WILD CARD ROUND: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins, 1:05 p.m.; Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants, 4:40 p.m., FOX

The Pittsburgh Steelers look to be peaking at just the right time. The Miami Dolphins, on the other hand, seem to be running out of gas. The Steelers are favored by 10 points which is a lot of points for a Playoff game. In the later game, the Green Bay Packers face the most dangerous team in the NFC Playoffs: the NY Giants. I’ve seen the Giants go to Green Bay and beat the Packers in past years (2007 and 2011). Aaron Rodgers needs to bring his “A” game if the Packers hope to move on in the Playoffs. But, don’t be surprised if the NY Giants pull off the upset on the Frozen Tundra. The Packers are only favored by 4 points. Who do you think will win today?

I don’t see any way the Dolphins can win.

As for the Giants, I would love to see them go into frigid Lambeau (morning temperature – 0) and pull off another big win, but their offense just has not been up to the task all year long. If the defense can stifle Rodgers and keep it close, it could happen, but I am expecting the Packers to win. But I hope I’m wrong.

I’d rather see the Cowboys play the Giants again than have them face the Packers again, but I don’t see NY winning. The Houston game turned out just about as I’d expected yesterday. Next week, I’ll take whoever Houston is playing and give the points. They’ve gone about as far as they can go.

Jeff, the Patriots specialize in getting a bye week in the Playoffs. That explains their winning record in the Post-Season.

Though I’m not a sports fan (don’t even know the rules for football – always sat bewildered when on the big screens in a sports bar where I drank my beer they showed the games and the points made etc …) I wish you all a lot of fun – and may the best win!

Wolf, much of the popularity of American football is betting. Billions of dollars will change hands this weekend depending on who wins, who loses, and by how much.

As unlikely as it seems, I’d like to see Miami win. I think the Packers will beat the Giants unless Eli has a spectacular game.

Meanwhile, how ’bout them Seahawks? Look out, Atlanta.

Rick, I remember when the Seahawks played a heavily favored Atlanta Falcons team and beat them in Atlanta. Could there be a Cowboys vs. Seahawks NFC Championship game?

Meanwhile. Pittsburgh continues to play rough, vicious football. I think they’re a dirty team, and I hope someone, not today, probably, thumps the hell out of them. But then I’ve never liked the team, and certainly not their QB.

I really liked the Steelers in the Bradshaw-Franco Harris-Lynn Swann-Mean Joe Greene era, especially when they beat the Cowboys in Super Bowl X and XIII. I don’t like Roethlisberger at all.
