WILD TARGET [Blu-ray]

If you’re a fan of Emily Blunt, Bill Nighy, Rupert Grint and Rupert Everett then Wild Target (2010) will delight you. Emily Blunt plays a thief who Bill Nighy, an assassin, is supposed to kill. But Nighy spares Emily and that sets off a chain of hilarious plot twists. Yes, Wild Target is fluff, but it’s fun fluff.

It’s not great but Nighy is always worth watching, even as a depressed hitman. And Grint gets away from his Ron Weasley persona.

Jackie could compare names with you, George. One year she had (I swear I am not making this up!) Shawana, Mashana and Shakwana, as well as Iesa and Iasia.

(not sure on the spelling of these)

When I worked in a junior high school, we have two girls named “Unique.” I guess it wasn’t such a unique name after all. In the elementary school, we had a student named “Beyonce.” At the time (this was about five years ago), it was hard for me to get my mind around the fact that Beyonce had been a star long enough for there to be school-aged girls with her name.

In a few years, kids will show up at school with names from the TWILIGHT series…and THE HUNGER GAMES, Deb. I can’t wait until I have a Katniss in one of my classes!

Yes, a flood of Bellas, Jacobs, and Edwards are in our future–as we process through the Emmas, Madisons, Ethans, and Aidens of today.

Not in America, but I believe it is a popular name in England–because of Harry Potter and Prince Harry too.

When Jackie went to the middle school there was a (sorry to be un-PC but…) very slow student named Whitney Houston.
