Michael Caine plays a retired composer/conductor. Harvey Keitel plays an 80-year-old movie director who is trying to make one last film that will be his “testament.” Both men are friends and are spending time at an exclusive spa in Switzerland. Caine is concerned about his daughter (played by Rachel Weisz). This is a film about aging and legacy. Geezers will find a lot to think about in this movie. GRADE: B

    Pass. The reviews were terrible.

What isn’t Paul Dano in these days. I saw him in the recent WAR & PEACE miniseries too.

If I need a commentary on age, I just need to try and get out of bed in the morning, then look in the mirror. The world looks fine when I look out of my eyes, but not so good when I look at them, or any part of me.

That’ll be netflix for me. My next one up has to be star wars (didn’t see before due to coughing, etc) the new coen brothers one is also a “must see” for me.

Off topic, I saw a johnny carson with richard harris that was very good. In his monologue, he talked about a suggestion to bus/move the ice from buffalo to Calif. due to the drought. I remember after Katrina I thought maybe they could ship ice to put in the gulf to lower the water temp. The next carson has joan embry from the san diego zoo, and those are hysterical. One of our local news stations tried it some years ago, but the anchor was spooked by the animal, and basically hid. He looked cowardly compared to carson.
