After the debacle in Charlotte last Sunday, an ugly 9-3 loss to the Panthers where neither team managed to score a touchdown, the Buffalo Bills now face an even better team in the Denver Broncos. I’m mystified by Vegas making the Broncos a mere 2 1/2 point favorite over the hapless Bills. It should be more like a 14-point spread. Bills running back has made the national news by calling Donald Trump “an asshole.” How will your favorite NFL team do today?
We’ll lose!
Bob, the Seahawks are 3-point underdogs to the Tennessee Titans.
Maybe Dallas can beat Arizona on Monday night, but they didn’t look good last week, so who knows?
Bill, if the Denver Broncos can dominate a quality team like the Cowboys, what chance do the Bills stand today? Zero!
WHAT? You’re not Boycotting the NFL? Sir, I question your Patriotism!
Dan, I’m a big supporter of First Amendment Rights. If NFL players want to “take a knee” that’s their right.
Just kidding, George; I completely agree with you, and agree completely with you, and agree with you completely.
The hapless 0-2 Saints meet the much stronger 2-0 Panthers in Charlotte today. I fully expect the Saints to be 0-3 at the end of the game. Meanwhile, I’m off to Baton Rouge to see my kids at LSU–which DID have a win last night! At least one local team is getting some W’s.
Deb, the Bills couldn’t beat the Panthers last week, but they did prevent them from scoring a TD. Moral victories are the stuff of losers, unfortunately. The Saints might be able to put up a lot of points since Cam Newton is still far from his MVP performance.
Deb, nice pictures (thanks!) and Happy Belated Birthday to John again. Have fun today. Our one trip to Baton Rouge was to eat at Mike Anderson’s after the New Orleans branch closed.
Do I have to think about this? Well, I expect the Giants (like the Saints) to be 0-3 after today’s visit to Philadelphia. I see no evidence of their offense, period. Sad.
Jeff, Brandon Marshall has been a huge disappointment for the Giants.
I’m not really keeping up with the nfl, but do hope for the Packers to win. They have been my favorite team for many years. The la chargers will hopefully have no wins this year, and the rams might join them. If that happens, they should just stop building the stadium.
I hope the Saints win, if just for Drew Brees. Sorry, Jeff can’t root for the giants as long as eli is playing for them.
Maggie, the Packers take on the Bengals today. Should be an easy win.
I think Bob is probably right, the Seahawks don’t have much offense, and the Titans are rising. I told Pete Carroll 3 years ago he needed to build a better offense line, and he didn’t listen. Now they have no run game and Russell Wilson is running for his life half the time. Bah.
Rick, you’re right about the Titans being on the rise. Meanwhile, the Bills face the Broncos who lead the NFL in rushing and touchdowns! Bah, indeed!
On the up side…well, the weather is nice.
😉
Jeff, the temperature at the Bills game is supposed to be near 90 degrees today! I’m glad I’m not going to be in those molten stands!
Go, Bill! Looking good so far.
I told you the Giants had no offense.
The Bills win! The Bills win!
Unbelievable. The Giants put on a very impressive finish. Their task was, we have the ball with 40 seconds left and we need a field goal to win. What can we do to make sure that we not only don’t win, but give the Eagles the game so we don’t go to overtime? It was a tough assignment, but they were more than up to it, with two straight penalties, a 9 yard pass on third and 10, a shanked 28-yard punt – out of bounds no less, to help save the Eagles a few precious seconds, lousy coverage, etc.
Combined with the Jets’ wipeout of the Dolphins, there is a new Worst Team in Town.
And congratulations to the Saints too. Did I mention that the Bills won? Amazing.
you make the giants sound like the chargers. glad the packers pulled it out. I saw some upsets in the scores. only watched about 10 min of the judasses and then cbs switched to the packers, so watched them win in OT.
Jeff, the Bills win was unBILLevable! I suspect the Russians hacked this game!
Congrats, George! Nice job, Bills! Seahawks not looking so good…………unsurprisingly.
Rick, the Bills shocked a lot of people with their surprising win over the Denver Broncos. But, next week the Bills travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. A sure loss.
Detroit lost a heartbreaker in the last seconds of the game.
Steve, that last play was controversial. I was rooting for the Lions over the Falcons.
