Scott Adams is the incredible cartoonist behind DILBERT. In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Election, Adams predicted a Donald Trump win–a year before the vote. WIN BIGLY tells the story of how Scott Adams came to realize Trump was going to win the Election. And, in the process, Adams explains how Trump’s strategies of persuasion work. For example:

This is just one of Trump’s strategies to mess with our minds. Once Scott Adams explains it, it seems obvious how Trump gets away with everything no matter how egregious. Terrific book! GRADE: A

    I used to read Adams’s blog—but some of his comments, especially regarding women, were problematic to say the least. And, frankly, no matter how good this book might be, I couldn’t bring myself to read another Trump-related tome. We’re already living in that movie right now!

      Deb, I completely relate to your aversion to books about Trump. I’ve read a dozen books on the 2016 Election and the rise of Trump. I’m at the saturation point myself!

    I’m with Deb. The less I hear the name Trump the better. I think I am developing an ulcer and he’s largely responsible.

      Patti, this “Tax Reform” bill will cause a lot of people ulcers. Voters in Blue States will find their taxes will be going up while millionaires and billionaires rake in millions in tax cuts!

    What Deb said (and Patti). I used to read Adams but not any more, and I have to intention of reading a Trump book, until it is about his fall and incarceration.

    I still click on Dilbert every day (used to buy the books 20 or 30(?) years ago) – for me it’s a kind of addiction, especially since I used to work in IT for so many years and recognised some of my bosses and colleagues there.
    But I won’t read anything longer on Trump – the situation in Europe is bad enough by itself!

    Here in Hungary we have a kind of mini-Trump (or even micro Trump if you consider the (un)importance) and we discuss this in a political forum where there are many Hungarians now living in the USA who are quite bitter.

    The best I can do myself right now is gallows humour …

    have we had this joke already?
    By chance Trump and Obama come to the same barber, of course they don’t talk …
    Trump is finished first and his barber asks:
    Would you like some after shave applied?
    Trump: No, no, Melania might think I’ve been to a brothel!
    When Obama’s done, he’s asked the same and answers:
    Why not, Michelle doen’t know how a brothel smells …
