BUFFALO BILLS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS

The 3-1 Buffalo Bills travel to Cincinnati to take on the 1-3 Bengals. Vegas has made the Bengals 3 1/2-point favorites. This is a classic “trap” game where after defeating two quality teams–the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons–the Bills are prone to losing to an inferior opponent. The Bills have followed this pattern for the past 17 Playoff-less years. Will today be different? We’ll see… How will your favorite NFL team do today?

The Giants are hosting the Chargers at 1, a game even they should be capable of winning. But who knows? We’ll be most of the way to Syracuse by then,

Hope you enjoy the wedding. It feels almost Florida-like here. Normal high is 67 but it is already 74 and humid, going to 80 yet again. By the time you get home, the weather should be back closer to normal.

Jeff, the temps were in the 90s on the beach with humidity around a 100%. Only the breeze off the Atlantic Ocean saved us! Have a safe trip! See you in Toronto!

The Cowboys are favored against Green Bay. I can’t figure out why. Obviously the bookies know something I don’t.

The people in San Diego are torn: many actually rooting for the Giants and the hated Eli Manning. I’m one of them. Much as I like the players, I want to see the Spanos family humiliated and perhaps 86’d from the NFL.

I’m hoping the Packers beat the Cowboys. Thinking good thoughts for the Bills.

The 2-2 Saints have a bye week—which is just as well because I’m totally caught up in baseball’s post-season right now. I don’t anticipate being wrapped up in the football season until the last strike of the World Series is recorded.

The hated Cowpies lost! The hated Chargers won! The Bills lost! The Seahawks beat the hated division rival Rams!!! The Chiefs remain undefeated! The Yankees won 1-0! Most of the day I did other things but I watched three quarters of the Chiefs game!

The Seahawks won by the skin of their defense. At least they managed to score a touchdown or two, and get Graham more into the game. They sure did shut down the (was previously) #1 offense.

Enjoy that pizza, I may have a couple of slices this coming weekend.
