BUFFALO BILLS VS. HOUSTON TEXANS (ESPN/ABC 4:30 P.M) and TENNESSEE TITANS VS. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (CBS 8:30 P.M.)

The Buffalo Bills take on the dangerous Houston Texans. The Bills are 3-point underdogs. The Texans can put up a lot of points with Deshaun Watson flinging the ball to DeAndre Hopkins, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. The Texans have also activated JJ Watt for this game. The last time the Bills played the Texans, they sacked Deshaun Watson 7 times…and still lost the game. I’ll be on the edge of my seat for this one!

In the late game, the New England Patriots face the surprising Tennessee Titans. The Patriots lost a rare Home Game last week to the Miami Dolphins so they’ll be fired up for this game. The Patriots are favored by 5 1/2 points. The Titans may make the final score close, but I think the Patriots will be moving on in the Playoffs after this game. Who do you think will win these games?

I think the Bills will surprise us, George. But I think by hook or by crook, the Patriots will find a way to win today.

Go, Bills! I will be rooting for them today while we’re on the road south. I agree with Deb about the Patriots, but I hope they lose. I must admit I haven’t paid the same attention to Houston or Tennessee as I have to the NFC teams so don’t really know what to expect today. Good luck.

We made it to Fredericksburg with only the occasional light drizzle on the way plus fog across Staten Island and the northern part of New Jersey. And it was mild, so no complaints.

Rick, I’m expecting plenty of “instant replay” video reviews of controversial plays in all these Playoff games. JJ Watt is playing injured so we’ll see how long he lasts. Last season when the Bills played the Texans, QB josh Allen sustained an elbow injury that kept him out for four games. His replacement, Nate Peterman, came in and threw a “pick-6” and…game over.

Deb, I’m disappointed. How do you blow a 16-0 lead? I’m glad the Bills came back to tie the game at 19-19. But OT exposed the Bills’ flaws. Hopefully, they can fix things in the Draft and signing some quality Free Agents.
