Because the twins just finished their spring break and have to go back to LSU today (classes start again tomorrow), we did our big Easter dinner yesterday (grilled lamb, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy). This morning, we’ll go to church and by the time we get home, the girls will have to start loaded up to head back and we’ll probably just have leftovers for dinner. The Easter bunny did leave some chocolate bunnies for our kids and even a bag of sugar-free chockies for me!
By the way, those were private pictures, George! (I never learn, do I?)
Deb, we’re having the traditional Easter dinner of ham, yams, applesauce, salad, squash, and asparagus. Desserts include Beth Fedyn’s Wisconsin Coffee Cake, placek, ice cream, and chocolate bunnies!
Happy Easter, George, and April Fool’s Day, if that’s a thing. Hope you all have a wonderful day at your sister-in-law’s home. What’s on the menu? We had our Easter Dinner Friday, ham, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, chocolate pie. It was delicious.
Rick, we’re having the traditional Easter dinner of ham, yams, applesauce, salad, squash, and asparagus. Desserts include Beth Fedyn’s Wisconsin Coffee Cake, placek, ice cream, and chocolate bunnies! Your Easter Dinner Friday sounds delicious, too!
At church today we learned that the last time Easter fell in April Fools was in 1956; but—due to the vagaries of the Church calendar—it will happen again in 2029.
Deb, thanks for those Fun Facts! I’ll be looking forward to EASTER and APRIL FOOL’S DAY falling on the same day in 2029. Patrick and Katie are here in Ohio, too. They’ve decided to bake Madeleines for Easter dinner tonight! Yum!
Seems you all had a good Easter, congratulations – hope you didn’t eat too much!
George, where is that asparagus from that you had?
We’re waiting for the season to begin in Europe – it’s one of our favourites too.
I didn’t comment before because we were out – had a wonderful weather, 16 – 18 Celsius i e 65 Fahrenheit.
Same to you, George.
We’re going to see a matinee of THE BAND’S VISIT today.
Now they are predicting 60 today, followed by 1-3 inches of SNOW tomorrow morning!
Sadly, this is NOT an April Fools joke.
Jeff, Easter in Ohio is cold: 37 degrees. Snow is in the forecast!
I am worried about Easter falling on April Fool’s Day this month. Are there Biblical Prophesies about this?
Dan, I think when APRIL FOOL’S DAY lands on EASTER, the Easter Bunny brings peanut butter treats instead of chocolate!
Oooh noooo!
Happy Easter, Everyone!

Yum. You can’t go wrong with lamb and Yorkshire pudding.
NYC is having Spring Break this week (started Friday).

It’s great to see Diane (or is it Deb?) looking so well, George.
Hope you and yours have a fantastic day!
Jerry, Happy Easter to you and your family. Hope the Easter Bunny left you some goodies!

Wolf, most of our asparagus comes from California. Yesterday we had 3 inches of snow. Today, heavy rain!
