/Here in Louisiana, a lot of people redecorate their tree on New Year’s Day with green, gold, and purple Mardi Gras decorations and leave their “repurposed” tree up until Lent.

Rick, a Happy New Year to you, too! The Ducks are getting a lot of love from Vegas. Although Defending National Champion Florida State has won 29 games in a row, they’re underdogs to your team! I think Alabama will defeat Ohio State, but the game might be closer than people think.

The DUCKS showed the naysayers that they are for real, and that Jamis “I think I’ll just shoplift these groceries” Winston was lucky this last season. At least he was man enough to go say congrats to Mariota, while most of the team just ran into the locker room after losing.
Ohio State beat Alabama, so now it’s Ducks-Buckeyes. Who do you like?
Rick the Ducks vs. the Bucks presents some intriguing match-ups. Plenty of people complained about Ohio State being in the Playoffs, but they may end up being the College Champions. The Ducks are favored over Ohio State, but so was Alabama.

The Daily News is pushing a rumor that Marrone may be replacing Rex Ryan with the Jets. If so he’d probably have been better off staying in Buffalo!
Jeff, Marrone’s contract pays him $4 million next year whether he takes a new coaching job or not. Talk about a Golden Parachute!
