After last week’s 48-38 beat-down by the Jets, the Bills had a week of soul-searching. Bills’ fans, on the other hand, indulged in an orgy of blaming the coaches, players, and the media for the team’s collapse. Fans demanded the coaches all be fired, all the Buffalo Bills players be traded, and the banning of all sports media in Western New York. Against this backdrop, today’s game against the Chiefs looms large. The Kansas City Chiefs display some dismaying similarities to the Bills. Although the Bills are 3-point favorites, no Bills fan feels confident in the outcome of this game. How will your favorite NFL team do today?
After last week’s debacle, who knows? I hope we’ll see the “real” Giants against the Bucs.
Plenty of NFL teams got off to a Bad Start in their first Real Game of the season, Jeff. The Bills can’t afford to go 0-2 this early.
I think the ‘Skins will win their game against the Rams. Not sure the Panthers can handle the Saints, despite what some of the experts say. And the Jets will be missing Revis
The Steelers are missing some players, too, Randy. I think Jets vs. Steelers is the Game of the Day.
Peyton is partial to domes, but the Falcons have a pretty good QB of their own. One is concerned.
The Chiefs didn’t play well last week. George, I hope the average Bills fan is a devotee of both P90X and low-carb dieting, because they’re going to be dancing naked in the streets with joy after today’s big Buffalo victory.
I’m not quite ready to shed my clothes yet, Drongo. The Bills have a disheartening habit of losing games they’re supposed to win. Clearly the Networks will continue to feature Peyton and the Broncos in Prime Time as long as they keep winning.
The Seahawks may be a bit better right now, but they are in the same boat as the Bills. A win today would help a lot after the heartbreaker last week.
Good luck to the Bills, George.
The Bills romped today, Rick, beating the Chiefs 35-17. The Seahawks seem to be dominating the Cowboys!
That is good news from my point of view. We were at the theater this afternoon so missed Eli’s monumental first half f*ck up and second half redemption. And the Patriots lost at home to Arizona! That’s probably as shocking as the Saints being 0-2.
This is the first time New England has lost a home opener since 2001, Jeff. And this is only Tom Brady’s second loss at home in 37 games. Yes, this is a Rare Event. I did not like the end of the Giants game. Tampa Bay took a cheap shot on Eli.
