Deb, the scenes on the evening news about full beaches and crowds (without masks or social distancing) look foreboding.

Hope everyone has a safe day. I’m thankful for all the first responders and service members who help keep us safe, and those who gave their lives for our freedom.

But I wonder if Mr. Trump will draw attention to that or anything other than his achievements.

Do the right thing and go to church…or play golf. Same difference, apparently.

Stay off the beach (did you see the Daytona Beach thing yesterday?) and away from pool parties (Lake of the Ozarks reminded me of the Flamingo Hotel pool in Vegas) and other big gatherings. Too many people seem to be stupid these days. Sad.

Jeff, a lot of people do not understand the dynamics of the coronavirus pandemic. And all the disinformation about masks and social distancing is going to result in more cases…and deaths.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone. Used to be Memorial Day was about remembrance of loved ones who passed, but it’s pretty much all military now. Wonder when that changed? We’ll be home. Not going anywhere, not doing anything except avoiding the duct cleaning guy who is coming this morning. I’ll be in a distant room wearing a mask. Yippee!

Rick, we’re headed for 85 degrees today. A few weeks ago we were setting record low temperatures (in the 30s). Now, we may set some record high temperatures! On this Memorial Day I think about family and friends who have died, service members who died protecting our security and freedoms, first responders who died from inadequate PPE, and the people who are going to die because of lies and deception about the cornavirus pandemic.

George, it is still only 62 here! They do expect the fog to lift and the temperature to get to 70 or so for a short while this afternoon, but it was (thankfully) not a beach weekend around here. We are expecting 80 starting Thursday, though.

Yes, there does seem to be a plethora of fecal-heads out there.

We have no big plans for today other than making time to remember too many lives lost.

I hope you and Diane and Patrick and Katie and Big Orange each have a meaningful and happy Memorial Day.

Jerry, the same good wishes to you and your family! Big Orange has been wrapped up and put away until the snow flies again.

Hope you all spent a happy Memorial Day!
However Trump and others might have spoiled it. Just read an unbelievable story about what’s going on in the USA right now:
A very good analysis of the current king of conspiracy theories:
Qanon who of course often names Soros together with Obama and HRC – unbelievable mixture of right wing, conspiracy theories etc, including Pizzagate and the mass shootings derived from this.
    I was flabbergasted!
