Merry Christmas to all of you and please be careful in these horrible times!
That table with all the good stuff look nice, could you send some over to Europe?
George, I really enjoy your writings and also the comments so I hope we can continue with your site for many, many years …
And now I gotta go helping my wife in the kitchen, her young ones will be here for lunch. We can count ourselves lucky that wwe don’t have a total shutdown here in Hungary …

Wolf, I really enjoy your comments and hope we can continue your read about your views for many, many years! By the time a shipment of Christmas cookies reached you, they would be hard as rocks! But, the wine however…

Great pic of the fam, George! And the goodies look scrumptious!

I assume the Covid-19 test kits were left out for Santa, who is in the high-risk category after visting so many houses this year.

I hope you and yours truly enjoy the day.

Jerry, at Thanksgiving in NYC, when Patrick and Katie asked Diane what she wanted for Christmas, she answered, “You.” Sounds like a Mariah Carey song, I know. But Diane and I are always thrilled when the kids come home, bake up a storm, and make us laugh. What can be better than that? According to CBS NEWS last night, Santa is immune to Covid-19! I didn’t know that! Hope you and your family enjoy a very Merry Christmas!

Neeru, thank you for your kind wishes. With the Pandemic surging again because of Omicron, who knows when we’ll see Patrick and Katie again in 2022. So we’re making the most of the week they’re spending with us! Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Deb, Merry Christmas to you and your family! I’m sure you have a delicious meal planned. I may add a photo later showing our Christmas dinner table. Diane has invited four “strays” who would be alone on Christmas to have dinner with us today. Hence, the rapid Covid-19 testing kits. Diane, Patrick, Katie, and I all tested negative yesterday, but we will test again today. After today, we plan NOT to gather with groups of people until the Omicron Surge subsides. Our local numbers are rising.

Patti, Katie and Patrick are busy baking a pie for our Christmas Dinner. Diane is “tweaking” the Living room and Dining Room with her mighty vacuum cleaner. I just finished peeling potatoes and chopping onions for various sides Katie and Patrick are preparing. Wish you could be with us! Maybe next year!

Steve, Merry Christmas to you, too! Are you going to watch today’s NFL games? For a while, the NFL didn’t schedule games on Christmas Day, but apparently that policy has changed.

All day, I’ve been saying that I know it’s Saturday but it feels like Sunday! It’s driving me nuts!

Merry Christmas to you all, George! All those desserts look great, how many units of Type R Insulin do I need to eat any? What a year when we have testing kits at the door for guests. I think your day sounds lovely.

Rick, Patrick and Katie assure me that all those desserts are carb-free–but only on Christmas! Merry Christmas to you, Barbara, Dexter, and Pongo!

And a joyful Festivus from the rest of us! I had two of those kinds of cookies today! In fact, I’m a little ill from all the goodies I consumed!

A belated Merry Christmas to you, George, and your lovely family. It’s refreshing to see that some families still put in the care and effort to have a nice Christmas meal. It all looks wonderful. So glad to read that you and yours will be going back into safe mode again.
    Best regards

Byron, the same to you and your family. With all the strife and Covid-19 raging, our family Christmas dinner provided some shelter from the storms of chaos swirling around all of us! Stay safe and stay well!

Merry Christmas, George and family! Love seeing the photos of y’all, and the treats, of course. I’m off work for the week, so hope to have more time to tune in to blogs and sites I enjoy – like this one!

Lovely, lovely family photo, George. And that nice spread of sweets on the table. I lean toward the chocolate ones myself. My mother in law used to make a chocolate whipped cream roll for Christmas every year, years and years ago.

Tracy, I love chocolate in all forms (except white chocolate which seems like a contradiction to me). It’s nice when your children turn out to be excellent bakers!
