NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS: ATLANTA FALCONS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (4:35 P.M. EDT NBC); TENNESSEE TITANS VS. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (8:35 P.M. EDT CBS)

Just a few weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles were cruising into the Playoffs. Then, their brilliant QB, Cqrson Wentz, got injured and the Eagles looked like their goose was cooked. We’ll see today when the Atlanta Falcons come to the City of Brotherly Love favored by 3-points. In the late game, the mighty New England Patriots are favored by 13 1/2 points over the Tennessee Titans. This game looks like a blow-out. Who do you think will win today?

Yeah—the Patriots and the Falcons seem to be locks, although I think the Eagles, even without Wentz, will give the Falcons a run for their money. The Patriots will stomp the Titans—i could even see them sending in the B-team by the 4th quartet, depending on how lopsided the score is.

Naturally, down here on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, we’re all waiting for tomorrow’s Saints-Vikings match-up.

I’m with Deb. I’m waiting for the Saints’ game too. I would find it hard to root for a division rival of the Giants (even though it isn’t the hated Cowboys), but then I don’t like the Falcons either. If pushed, I’d pick the latter. Also, if they do win and the Saints prevail, next week’s game would be in the Big Easy.

On the other, I can’t imagine the Patriots losing to the Titans. I think it will be a walkover.

And with Big Orange warmed up and ready to go!

It has dropped from 83 here yesterday to about 70 today, and will be even colder tomorrow. Looks like the snow is coming to Western New York.

Jeff, yesterday it was 61 degrees. Now, it’s 7 degrees (windchill -5). Big difference! I’m about to go out and fire up Big Orange. We went from ZERO snow yesterday to about five inches on the ground this morning.

I agree that the saints game is the one I care about, go Saints. I do want the falcons to win, though, and I’m sure the patriots will win.

I won’t be watching anything today as I’m seeing a matinee of Hamilton, then going to a party right afterward.

I’ve been listening to the cast recording for months, but mostly the first disc my favorite songs are from king George, and the schulyer sisters

      Sounds like fun. Enjoy!

We’re going for Jackie and George’s favorite lunch – pizza – and then Jackie is going to Macy’s as there is a sale that ends at 2 pm.

I’m afraid I’m going to go with the Seahawks over the Bills, George. No, wait… By the way, when’s the last time the Seahawks will have a higher draft pick than the Bills??

Enough of that. I’ll be pulling for the Eagles (really don’t like Atlanta) and Titans, though of course I expect Patriots to win. Not sure how much attention I’ll give the games, I’ve been – am – ill, so sleep is at the top of my agenda. right now.

The Atlanta tackling has been poor. Any number of first downs wouldn’t have happened if the Falcons could tackle.
